I actually really want Alec to initiate their first kiss. Since Magnus has made it so beautifully clear - yes, that scene- that he understands that Alec needs to arrive at anything ‘them’ in his very own time. So when it happens, Alec kisses Magnus first. Yes, just a brave, brief press of lips, a shy yet so determined silent question asking Magnus  ‘Please. Kiss me back’,   then Alec pulls away again. And their eyes are wide, and Magnus just looks at Alec, like really looks, and when he finds that what he wants, needs to see in Alec’s face is there, and a whole lot of it, he leans in. And then it’s that seductive slow slide of a gentle mouth, hovering, parting lips just by skin catching on skin so softly. And Alec’s breath stutters, doesn’t know where to go, so he holds it. And his eyebrows are up, and it’s all so new, so much to process, and he feels… he feels.

And when his chest is just about to burst with all of it, he finally breathes out, breathes into the kiss, and that’s when it really begins. When their hands find purchase on each other and they sink into it, slow yet deep, complete and forever.

And looking back on it, Alec will think: I have been kissed.

when has derek been a child molester? everything he has done was with consent? like- all i've got is erica and she allowed him to be near in 2x03 and then she even went and kissed him, SHE kissed him, and derek pushed her away so ???-people rather talk about stupid things, i mean if we go in detail, lydia and aiden, danny and ethan, kate and derek, allison and isaac, peter and lydia, etc they all were underage/overage relationships and no one speaks about it. and with sterek from canon wise now in senior year stiles is 17 and he mst be like 4 months from turning 18 and derek is not around and has never made a move, everything about them has always been more profound than romance bc it hasnt been stated their feelings so derek isn’t molesting him? like the wall scene is like the closest they’ve got physically and it was to threat him just that hobrien’s chemistry made it seem with unresolved sexual tension… also here in south america 18 is age of consent :D

Oh dude there is NO logic in the “Derek is a molester” argument. Not based on his canon behavior, and not based on anyone’s ages.

But on Monday I had some encounters with a corner of fandom who have decided that all us Sterek shippers are supporting -- prepare yourself for the absurdity -- pedophilia. Yeah, because apparently Stiles is like 10 years old now or something.

But apparently we’re all totally immoral, sick, twisted perverts for supporting what is so clearly an “immoral” and “abusive” ship.

So, even though I shouldn’t be entertaining these ridiculous comments at all, it’s gotten me thinking about the topic. And I’ve decided to poke around and let everyone know that even if you support Sterek getting together when Stiles is 16 -- which I know some of the fandom is squicky on -- there isn’t anything morally wrong with that. Like, there seems to be this pervading mindset throughout the fandom, even amongst shippers, that you are doing something wrong or twisted if you write them getting together before Stiles turns 18. I’ve seen so many Sterekers argue against the “Sterek is immoral” argument by crying “but most of us wait until Stiles is 18 in fic to put them together!” and it’s getting to bother me. 

Because it’s fine if people are more comfortable with that. It’s fine if people aren’t happy with them getting together until Stiles is in college. And yeah, it might be legally wrong for them get together when Stiles is younger in California, which might cause some issues especially with Stiles’ dad being a Sheriff, but I’m sorry: it isn’t wrong to ship current Sterek, or to headcanon that Stiles and Derek were together over the summer before 3A, or to imagine them making out against that door in season one. You don’t have to defend shipping Sterek by saying that Derek definitely waits until Stiles’ eighteenth birthday to rush in and deflower him.
