USMLE Step 1 as an IMG

Hi folks!

I’m starting my “chilled” studying for the USMLE right about now. As an IMG, it’s been hard to figure out how to approach it, what to use, when to study, etc etc., but I think I’ve got an idea of what I want to accomplish and how.

If there are any other IMGs out there battling the treacherous Step 1 right now, I’d love to hear from you! Are there any motivating Insta or Tumblr accounts or specific hashtags that I should follow? I need all the motivation and help and inspiration I can get!

Study, study, study

I now have 18 days left until I sit for Step 1, aka the biggest test of my life to date, no pressure. I've been putting in the hours and hours of studying, and so far everything seems good. I've been scoring well on my practice tests, made it through the UWorld Qbank once and am going through the questions I missed now, and should finish the DIT lectures this week. I obviously still have a lot more to learn/review, but thankfully I'm not freaking out...yet. That's normally the week before a test like this. I just hope that the practice tests' anticipated scores are accurate, and that I can push on through these next 18 days! Then I'll get some semblance of a life back...for at least a week.
