“LISTEN, LUCAS, I don’t give a shit what you need to do to get that proposal signed. i just need you to get it done before james gets back from----” celine abruptly stops mid-sentence, gaze locking on the figure in her brother’s penthouse living room. he told her he’d be in ibiza until sunday. why was SHE here? it hadn’t been that long since they’d started dating, and lucas wouldn’t shut up about her. harper was everywhere these days. “harper. hello. i was told the penthouse would be empty until sunday. ibiza not your vibe?” the question is clearly a mocking one ---- celine is quite sure ibiza is right up harper’s alley. celine on the other hand barely had time to sneak a glass of wine on a sunday evening ---- constantly cleaning up james’ messes while he partied. 

“i don’t wanna be alone.” admitting it made her feel like a desperate piece of shit. “but, like, you can obviously go if you don’t feel like staying.” please stay. “i’m not gonna hold you hostage.” she chuckled weakly.   /   based on golden by harry styles

“tell me that nobody else touches you like i do.” 

“when you speak? angels sing from above.”  not exactly the smoothest line ever delivered, but he’s out of practice.   “... in a totally normal, non-creepy kind of way.”

her being so obviously nervous makes his gaze become a little warmer. yet when she mentions her boyfriend, he feels an unpleasantly hot, stiff sensation in his veins. jealousy. he knows he shouldn’t be jealous, after all he has no right to be, but still... he can’t help it. his gaze hardens once again, and he raises his chin in a dominant gesture. “that is not an excuse, miss”, he hisses, sounding a little more angry than he intends to, “private matters should never meddle with classes. plus, that wasn’t the first incident. give me one reason why i shouldn’t let you fail.”

“fill it to the top.” saoirse’s gaze flicks from the empty chair opposite to the server with a grim smile. “actually, you can just leave the wine bottle.” 

         “you’re soaring above your classmates. have you heard the rumors about me, or you actually just that good?” the rumors' being the fact that, most of the time, ava wolfe was seen ‘with’ the top of the class. every year, it seemed she had a new pet. it was a good thing it never got outside of their prestigious college. “i don’t think i’ve met someone with as bright a mind as you.” she’d asked her to stay after class, pressing herself off of the desk and striding towards her.

        “i know we shouldn’t be doing this, but... fuck. you look too good.” sure, he could blame it on the fact that he took a couple shots with georgie’s girl and her friends... but he wouldn’t lie to himself. he wanted this, even before the alcohol his his lips. normally such a nice guy, and yet he felt the need to one up his brother in any given moment. “smell good, too. feel good...” he was trailing off, following her into one of the deserted rooms, easily gripping her waist and pulling her to the bed.
