This entire “be my dictator” scene is a feast for Walter von Schönkopf / Yang Wen-li shippers, and it had me laughing so hard. I about died when he pushed Yang into the chair and held him there. ♡ (ʘ ꒳ ʘ✿) The Production I.G. crew knew what they were doing!
I love that Schönkopf could be testing Yang for sake of his loyalty to him, or be completely serious, or actually putting the moves on Yang after he already sniffed out the Yang/Frederica situation. He could also be all three, because he totally would.

I really loved Chapter 17’s callback to Chapter 14 where Reinhard promotes both Kircheis and Oberstein to important dual leadership roles despite Oberstein’s warning of the risk. In Chapter 17, Bewcock turns down the same kind of promotion, stating that, “We must disperse any risks.” It’s also a foreboding sign that those asking for Bewcock to assume two very different and powerful leadership positions have a similar line of thinking as Reinhard.

It looks like a very lively age is coming. It may be a bit turbulent, but that's far better than remaining stagnant.
