Eclipse for my alien au (name still pending lol). so for fun as a warm up lately I've been slowly chipping away at this. have a ref sheet for him! he may not appear in the actual fic itself, at first I said he wouldn't at all but now I'm undecided. he's huge, as evidence by the size chart.
he's a mix of the two races for Sun and Moon's species. very rarely when a child is mixed-race it can result in... abnormalities. some don't show many differences at all from one of the parent races, some like Eclipse get extra limbs, or a mix of rays and the head tails I've decided to call crests. some are just kinda taller/have more muscle density than their peers. Eclipse got it all, which is pretty improbable but does sometimes happen. most people on or off world will never see someone like Eclipse in their lifetime. he's got an abundance of self-confidence because of that and no one dares to humble him as an adult lol

That little morsel? They're cute enough, like their owners. Fearless little thing in their curiosity, I do enjoy that. I don't encounter a lot of people or pets who stare quite so brazenly and just walk up to me to do it. They make me think that if I got a pet, maybe I'd get a human. Or maybe I'd weasel my way into seeing that one in particular more often.

Moon's had a couple changes to his design lately, which sounds not like what you asked for, but that does mean that Eclipse is getting a tiny bit too! slight color changes for him. you can't really see it anywhere but his teeth (soon. at some point) but his bones aren't white.
he has to buy his clothes and his bed specifically sized for him, and for his clothes he has to have them tailor-made for his having four arms and more musculature.
his eyes glow when he's angry or very ~worked up~. while there's no iris or pupil to see on his right eye, there is a center-point of brightness that looks like it on that side.
he's got a lot of energy, he would very much rough house with Star or another human any time of day. he tries to do one big physical activity a day- scrimmage, run, hit the alien gym, something.
because he has more muscle and he lives a more active life, he needs to eat a lot to keep up with the demands on his body. positively voracious appetite sometimes and he can really pack it away.
has been known more than once to sleep on his lower arms funny and wake up with them all pins and needles, which he whines about whether or not someone's around to hear him.

How would the boys react/handle it if Star was really easy to bruise? Like, bumping into the doorframe or a cabinet and then there's a blue/purple bruise (totally not a relatable experience).
Also, how would they handle affectionate biting? Just cuddling and Star bites down (gently) on Sun or Moon's arm?
As for climbing Eclipse... would he subtly help Star with the climbing up or just stand still and watch them struggle? I feel like their leg spikes would make a good foothold, but from there it's a bit more daunting lol.

Moon would recognize, in that situation, that Star's just going to have bruises sometimes lol. Sun, however, would be more mindful of being gentle with them and would try to save them from any clumsy mistakes getting them bruised up. Moon puts his foot down on trying to soften the edges of things in the house.
lmao I think that at first Sun would be a little worried about it. why bite? did he upset them somehow? Moon gets it though. Moon's definitely an affectionate biter. Poor Sun, Moon's got much sharper teeth than Star! Sun probably wouldn't do it back to either of them (when they realize Star's a people), but Moon probably would. very gently.
oh he wouldn't help at all. if anything, Eclipse would make their trek up him all the harder lol. starts twisting around, keeps his arms out of grabbing reach for handholds, laughing and grinning the whole time. he's amused and he's going to be a little (big) shit about it. the only time he'd "help" is to direct a hand or foot away from any tender spots he doesn't want pulled or stepped on to give them a better spot lmao. better for him? yes. you? probably not.
