The Flodder is a half frog half dog-like creature found in Steenbergen. The Flodder is described as a frog-dog hybrid having the body of a dog and frog-like feet and it is covered in black fur. The Flodder gets its name from the sound it makes when it emerges from the water and it is said the Flodder barks like an otter. The Flodder is said to hop on and grab ahold of the back of a passerby until they get to the next town and if that person looks at the Flodder while it is still on their back the Flodder licks them in the face with its long tongue. One way to ward off the Flodder is to cross your socks after taking them off.
