Tbt one of the many ways I've made wishbone legs over the years. This set were waterjet cut out of 2" plate in 3 pieces per leg to cut down on waste. And here's the process of skinning this table base. All 1/8" steel plate that I rolled and fit onto the profiles then marked from below, cut on the bandsaw and tack welded into place. I did the outside skin then the inside with support pieces below each cross seam to help minimize heat distortion. As per request here is the first of many process photos of my river table base. The client wanted a river theme for their table and I steered them away from inlays in the top and came up with this design for the base to pick up on the curves of tributaries.
