Though he did not comment, the pirate watched with a lifted brow as the human withdrew a long, wicked looking pin from her hair. With an ease that was clearly practiced, the girl stabbed the pin into the keyhole before throwing a look at Glyph over her shoulder.
âPetty?â Glyph huffed, a hand flying to his chest as he feigned insult, âLook at me, love, Iâd hardly say thereâs anything petty about me.â Waggling his eyebrows at the woman, Glyph chuckled and turned away, hands still thrust in his pockets as he continued to poke about the hallway.
Later, after discovering his cache of treasures stowed away in a closet, Glyph was greeted by the sight of the lightning girl, looking a great deal more frazzled than she had moments before. He flashed her a smile before tipping his head back and taking a drink from one of his newly acquired bottles.
âWhat are you doing back there?â Glyph smirked, eyeing the humanâs disembodied head peeking out through the cracked door. âIf youâre naked, Iâll admit I question your timing. Still, donât bother with the modestyâitâs nothing I havenât seen before.â
Still smirking, Glyph waited even as the woman slammed the door shut and proceeded to thump about in private. When at last she emerged, the girl stumbled from the room and leaned against the door, as if she were keep something locked insideâher humiliation, perhaps?
âYou really seem to have a handle on things here, Sparky,â Glyph commented as he picked an invisible speck of dust off his tunic.
Just then a door clicked open down the hall and two rather underdressed partygoers came spilling out.
Glyph was far too interested in the state of the coupleâs dress to notice the white ottercorn scampering between them. Beside him the human shouted before darting past the pair still fumbling with their clothes. Glyph trailed behind, amused that a woman with her bosom on such flagrant display could still have the indignation to point out something that she deemed oddâhumans.
Passing between the two, Glyph offered both appraising glances as he tipped his head and grinned, âYou two know how to party!â
Naturally the pair looked even more aghast as Glyph passed, the man even managed to cluck and mutter, âAnd an elf,â as if Glyph just traipsed by juggling shit in his hands.
Before Glyph had much time to register the humanâs hiss, she grabbed hold of the rail and sent a surge of electricity through it that left both humans sprawling. âOi!â Glyph exclaimed, glancing from the slightly smoldering couple to the electric girl. âThatâs Captain Big Boy to youâtitles are important.â
Doubling back to examine the crumpled man and woman, Glyph prodded them with his boot and grunted, satisfied they were still alive andâŠmostly well. While investigating, it came to Glyphâs attention that the gentleman had one wooden legâpoor fellow. The pirate straightened, rubbing at his chin as he eyed the man from head to toe. A slow grin spread over Glyphâs lips before he bent to take hold of the wooden appendage. After a bit of maneuvering, the leg twisted free in Glyphâs hand with a pop.
âNeed a leg?â He called after the magi as he caught up to her, twirling the stolen appendage in hand.
Moments after he said the words, a scream erupted overhead followed by a crash of shattering glass. Footsteps thudded on the deck above, then more screams. âSounds like your charming little friend has found more nights to spoil.â Glyph said, giving the leg a final twirl before taking off towards the stairs at a trot.
