For the headcanons prompt: The Elysians, after Phaaze was destroyed
Took me a while but I finally got around to doing this :P
Unfortunately, pretty much all of the Elysians were destroyed during the Phazon crisis. Elysians have minimal organic components which were wasted away quickly after infection, and their remaining systems just didn't function the same in the absence of either those biological parts, or Phazon to compensate. Most of the Elysians had actually been taken out long before Samus got there, just while trying to fend off the Phazon plague; once it infected a few, they were able to turn their simpler underling robots against the rest, and those who resisted infection were quickly destroyed.
Several different "sub-types" of Elysian are extinct, including the Swarmlords (like Helios) hence the rogue Swarmbots all over SkyTown. There are still a few roaming Steamlords, but they are rogue. AU 217 eventually worked out a way to cut contact between the Steamlords and their Steambots, forcing the last Steamlords into hiding. Depending on how corrupted they were, they will either have died once the Phazon cleared out of their systems, or still be wandering now; in the latter case, there is a chance that with help, they could at least partially recover.
