Shanks is a viewer who stumbled upon Buggy’s stream one night during his start, it was just Shanks and some other randoms who would come and go but Shanks stayed. That stream Buggy was Ranting about how it was unfair that cheerleading team rejected him even though he had great ideas to Share, while demonstrating some of them which included an explosion and a police chase. Buggy deleted that stream But shanks remembers it will since he laughed so much.

He kept watching Buggy, supporting him and donating when he can, Buggy recognized his name always addressing him personally when he would just stream out of boredom.

Buggy: “I was thinking about trying to play PC games- huh? Red is that you? I thought you were here all along, was wondering why you were so quite, turns out you are not my first viewer for tonight, boo~”

Red-Emperor: “Sorry, Blue! I got busy but I’m here now!”

Buggy: “thanks but this is just a rant stream you didn’t have to donate EVERY time.”

Red-emperor: “but I like the shine in your eyes when you have money to spoil yourself with.”

Buggy, hiding his blush and ignoring the flirting: “Who doesn’t love spoiling themselves! Anyway-“

But as Buggy became more famous Shanks’s presence starts to decrease even disappearing at some point. Which upsets Buggy but comes to terms that maybe he doesn’t find him interesting anymore, after all that’s how streamers are treated right?

Shanks on the other hand is having some family problems with his father punishing him by cutting him off from the world so he can force him to grow up and be a well respected member of the Fingarland family. What kept him sane is when Shamrock would sneak Shanks some screen time of whatever Buggy recorded but never live so Shanks couldn’t comment anything. Not that he could since his father deleted all his socials.

But those short videos were enough to keep Shanks sane…but not compliance as he mentally became dependent on Buggy’s presence to the level of obsessing over the now “genius clown”.

Imagine Buggy’s surprised when after years later, Red-Emperor comes back but not as just a viewer but as his savior. Because for some reason Buggy’s sponsors dropped him and he had been struggling financially. And when he admitted it to one of his streamer Red-Emperor told him of a young rising heir of a large multinational family company is looking for someone to represent their family’s product and how he should reach out since they are having interviews soon.

Buggy is skeptical at first but the struggle forces him too and after searching about the said company he decided why not shot his shot and if they said no then….well he will have to look for regular jobs and Buggy doesn’t do regular…he literally can’t.

The interview went smoothly, so smooth that Buggy is sure that this guy named “Shanks” liked him a lot. But why is the air around the room felt like it was suffocating him and those around him. Even the men and woman who joined the interview didn’t talk and stayed silent, as if afraid of something or someone.

Shanks had to restrain himself from jumping across the room and take Buggy into his arms. Years of only seeing him behind a screen years of not even hearing his voice. And now he had him right here in the flesh!!

He Of course already decided that Buggy would get the job, but he can’t be too obvious. He will have to make it believable. They will have to call him for second interview, maybe this time a personal one between only the two. A congratulations dinner for their new Brand Ambassador / spokesperson / influencer. Lunch Business meetings where they will discuss Buggy’s role. Shanks is the manager he always needs to be hands on, so he needs to always be around Buggy when he can ALWAYS.

And it helps him more when he watches Buggy’s streams later on and listen to him talk about his new job and boss. Shanks always makes sure to ask him as “Red-Emperors” what he thought and other personal questions so he can know how he truly feels and if there were any negative comments from Buggy he will note it down to change it later on.

Maybe what he is doing is wrong. By “leading” Buggy on into his arms. But it’s not bad since he will not harm him. All Shanks want is to keep listening to Buggy’s voice and see that shine in his eyes again. All Buggy will have to do is keep being happy and also to never EVER leave Shanks’s side …..again.
