Hackers are using public WiFi to steal your information.
Recently a blog release by the hacker news really emphasized how easy it was to steal our credentials and information with the use of a simple public Wi-Fi network. Everyday people connect to Wi-Fi with their smartphones because it helps save their data, and with dozens open and available, everyone wants to connect to the open ones. Using these open Wi-Fi networks a hacker is able to track the keystrokes a user makes and predict what key they clicked. With this knowledge, the hacker can then decipher each keystroke, which could be everything from your phone password to your bank account information. The damage that this simple exploit could produce is truly astonishing. With identity theft rates rising every year this gives a hacker yet only another way to steal your information directly off your smartphone.
