Twitter to Tumblr
If you follow me on Twitter (and if you don’t, you should here), you should have noticed that I recently posted a hopefully-informative Twitter essay about the benefits and uses of Search Engine Optimization, or SEO. I’ll leave the tweets for you below, in the order I posted them in, to ponder over. If you’re interested in learning more, click here!Â
1.      I recently learned how Search Engine Optimization (#SEO) can increase traffic to my site, so I’m here 2 spread the news! #learnsomethingnew
2.      Ever used Google? Sure you have! 94% of users only use the results on the 1st page. How are you making sure that YOUR site lands there?
3.      So what even IS #SEO? It’s making sure that when people use search engines, your website comes up as a top result. #searchthatup
4.      Your spot in the search-results-foodchain is determined by your page rank which is composed of two factors: keywords and backlinks.
5.      Use On-Site SEO by ensuring that your website has the relevant keywords that will correspond to searches. #googleme #idareyou
6.      Off-Site SEO is achieved through backlinks – when other sites reference and/or link back to yours.
7.      Articles, blogs & discussion boards can be used to increase backlinks. Remember: the more legit the site, the more relevant you become.
8.      The more relevant keywords and reputable backlinks you have, the higher your page rank. #movingupintheworld
9.      Be sure to consistently stay on top of this. Organic search listings mean that as our internet-usage patterns change, so do search results.
10.  Good luck and adieu my lovely followers. Hopefully I’ll see you all soon on Google’s first page ;) Stay #relevant #classy & #optimized
