Dead white guys with birds on their heads. Not to be disrespectful of the dearly departed, but yeah, I took these because birds! On their heads! Ok. I realize the muy important dude on the horse has a birdless head, but only because right when I hit the shutter ... you know. "Why not try again?" some well-meaning soul asks. "I didn't want to look like a tourist!" I reply boldly! Anyway, if you end up in D.C. and are on Connecticut Ave NW, you can take that photo yourself! The other photo? Near the Capitol building.
