ok op I have an insanely simple answer and It's literally just... from YouTube recommending me a chans spanish comic dub video like 2016- when I was 10 😔 At that point forward I knew my brain chemistry was changed and my world was flipped! next, I got into Undertale and started actually researching their characters haha. thats growth! strangely enough, I think every chans shipper had an encounter with those very old fandom fanarts :b

but I can thank my younger self for dragging me back into hell 2-3 years ago because now I'm an adult and chans had become a crazy resurfaced fixation for me.🤞 the community on here might be small, but it is accepting, so, aside from my somewhat month long breaks, I'm not going anywhere hopefully!

the way undertale fans didn't have very good media literacy back then baffles me. you went through the pacifist run, neutral run, and genocide run & ultimately decided that turning chara into a vile source of evil was the only decision that felt right? no character study? nothing? even taking the fact that they lost their soul for lord knows how long in lore, you cant put all the blame on them when you finish genocide. that is YOUR fault. YOUR actions to turn everything to dust. NOT THEIRS. YOURS. sure they were a troubled child but its youuuu clicking the attack button. not themmm. omg.

... but in my humblr opinion, I'm a sucker for family tropes, and I love fan-canons that coin gaster as being a father to sans and papyrus. and a father -not out of reproduction with another monster- but out of making them with his own scientific prowess. growing them from inside two encased jars, the coldness of the underground laboratory. the realization of his first successful experiment where he finally created something that is alive and breathing. for his children to be raised in secret, away from other monsters in their childhood. a few years down the line, he lives near the grand castle, his son begins working with him as an assistant and one other co-worker. another experiment. things go horribly. he disappears, or falls into his own creation, rumors start to spread. a few years later, two skeleton brothers move into snowdin town, away from the commotion of the bustling kingdom.

nintendo thought they could sneak silksong in there for two fucking seconds and thought we wouldn't notice hello???
