logan paul (aka garbage) made a video where he and his crew went into the infamous japanese Suicide Forest and found a dead body and made a video about it. they’ve since deleted the video and logan apparently put up a not-apology apology video

i did some further research (which i shouldn’t have because ive never been so disappointed in a group of people pretending to be teens on youtube) and the apology could have been sincere had he said “all jokes aside” about 112 less times. like if you are swiping the “”””””jokes””””””” aside then you aint really sorry about them. also the extremely fucked up way he says ‘i cope with humour’ as if that applies outside of literally anything aside from minor personal problems and nOT FINDING A DEAD BODY IN WOODS. like if the first thing you do is LAUGH when you see a dead body- thats bad. normal people freeze or faint or call for help or cry - they do not smile and laugh and make pseudo pop culture references.

not to mention the redundancy of “i found a dead body in the suicide woods!?????!!?!?!??!?!?!?! what !???!!!!?!??!” like i think its definitely a problem that they didn’t anticipate the VERY HIGH possibility that there was going to be one body (or a lot more than one body) and that the “2 spooky this is going to get me so many views” isn’t worth disrespecting a place where several people have killed themselves and trying to find “entertainment” within a very serious problem in japan. and the severe lack of sympathy where everything he said revolved around him like “i can’t believe this happened to ME” “This is too real for ME” “IIIII have never been near a dead body” LIKE BITCH NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU CAN YOU PUT DOWN YOUR CAMERA AND STOP JERKIN SYMPATHY FROM VIEWERS THAT GOES STRAIGHT TO YOUR EGO!? like fuck even in his new apology he doesnt seem to understand that this isnt about HIM. nobody cares about HIM and his feelings. if he wanted to make a proper apology then he would straight up say this is something he should have known wasn’t appropriate to post on youtube, filming this body was wrong and there is no excuse for his inappropriate reaction.” and then do his spiel about how his heart goes out to the family and then posting suicide hotline numbers pretending that he cares which i honestly don’t believe he does. even the pseudo apology i typed up now doesn’t do it justice so i mean best case scenario, if he really believes “i got caught up in my youtuber status” then he’ll just delete his channel and fuck off the face of the earth.
