“Now, Surge, be a good girl… you know you’re not well, right? I was trying to help you… these outbursts and episodes of yours… they hurt people… especially the time you burnt down a whole forest! We can’t have that happen again… now follow me back and we can continue with the hypnotherapy…” Starline says, gaslighting Surge from beyond the grave.
That mention of the forest arson Surge committed to try and burn Amy and her friends to death in the blaze… that immediately comes rushing back vividly into her mind. Then come the memories of the havoc she wreaked in Central City, without care for anyone’s life whatsoever.
YOU’RE NO HERO, SURGE. ACCEPT IT. YOUR TALENTS LIE SOLELY ELSEWHERE. YOU ARE A BORN AND MADE KILLER. FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE. DESTROY SONIC. BREAK HIM BEFORE YOU. SLAUGHTER ALL THOSE HE HOLDS DEAR, SO THAT HE SHALL BEG FOR DEATH.

Surge, beginning to hyperventilate, lashed out at the deceased doctor with an explosive
“LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!”
As she let out a large surge of electricity that basically knocked out the entire city’s power. She immediately dashed out of the city as far as she can, finding herself somewhere near an old Eggman base as she tried desperately to get that stupid platypus out of her head.
“It’s not real, it’s not real, it’s not real.” Surge kept on repeating to herself like a mantra, but it was drowned out by the commands on the deceased doctor. She sunk down against the wall, clutching her knees as she buried her head, soft electric sparks popping from her quills as she was increasingly overwhelmed.
Damn near crying, Surge let out a pathetic whimper. “where’s drippy when you need him…” She asks herself, beginning to wonder how the hell she’s even hallucinating right now…
