Thanks so much for the tag @tinysnacklefan!! Oh god, you know I always have a WIP or five to share and love a tag game! Alright so I thought about it! Since you said five I'm gonna do five holiday fics I'm working on plus one that I'm super excited to be flushing out at the moment. I'm gonna put them blow the cut as there is some content warnings for one (I'll mark it) and also its gonna get long fast.
No pressure tags: @michaelmilligan @idabbleincrazy @walkingaline @reallyreal-madeingold @xpurdyglambertx @samanddean76 @beheldandcompelled and anyone who sees this and would like to share! I love reading what y'all are working on <3
Alright Holiday Wips! Also, look at me having another Gabriel thing going on!
I've been writing so much fluff I swear it's rotting my teeth. But it has been fun to write some sabriel with it. Mainly for the pond's holiday challenge. One such is a human au (look at me getting into writing aus for spn more!) with Sam and Gabe, where Gabe of course crashes an office party. Here's a little bit from Party Crasher:
"Do you even work here?" "No," Gabriel smirked, popping another cheese ball into his mouth. "I was working late downstairs and heard there was food and booze, sooo…" "So you're crashing?" He shrugged. "My office consists of six people, and our party was not half as much fun as this one sounded last year." He took a sip of eggnog. "Plus it does not look good for the boss to get drunk but here," he grinned, happy to not know anyone. "Wait which office?" Sam's brows pinched, cradling his own hardly touched solo cup. "Shurley Accounting," Gabriel laughed at the other man’s clearly re-evaluating look. "Sorry," Sam scratched at the back of his neck, looking around them at the others as Gabriel took a cookie from one of the trays. "You just don't look like an accountant." "You don't look much like a lawyer," Gabriel teased, moving around the table. "Always been good at numbers, but no, helping out managing a small branch office for my little brother was not my plan." He shrugged, looking around the lawyers, who were well on their way to drunk. "But, he asked and it pays."
2. More fluff but for Clexmas. God, I just need sick fics in my life, and Lex is so cute sick. Its turning out to be longer than I wanted, but I mean I love clex so it's okay I guess. This one doesn't have a title yet.
"Lex?" He looked from the slight color of his cheeks to the clear problems he was having tying his tie. "What do you think you're doing?" "Getting ready for my meeting." Clark frowned, pulling back the covers of their bed and stretching his arms over his head. He smiled at the way that Lex looked at him as he stretched. The brunette's smile dropped as Lex tried to cover a cough. It had Clark moving closer to him, he didn't need super hearing to hear the husk in Lex's voice. "You are not going to work today," the Kryptonian said firmly, watching as Lex tried to get his tie right in the mirror. "What?" Lex glared at Clark's reflection. "I can't miss this meeting, Clark." "Zoom is a thing that exists, Lex," he reminded, looking at his sniffling nose as Lex firmly ignored it. "If you really can't miss it." "Why wouldn't I just go in?" He frowned, fever hazed eyes staring at Clark, finally getting his fingers to tie the knot of his tie correctly. "Because it looks like you've caught a cold.” "What! No, I never… achoo…" A sneeze broke his argument and caused him to groan at the ache it caused to branch out through his chest and head. "Bless you." Clark raised his chin at the sneeze that proved his point, grabbing the tissue box on their dresser. "Get sick. I'm fine!” He finished much more irritated and defiant even as he took a tissue. "I'm fine."
3. You guessed it, more fluff. I'm telling you I'm losing teeth this month. This time more Clex but with Kon-El because I crave more Connor fluff with married Clex. I just need more of it in this fandom, and I will write it all if I have to. Have more cuteness that will have angst and fit into my Earth 69 verse somehow...
"Come on Kon, eat up. We have a long day today," Clark said, handing the ten-year-old his juice. "What are we doing today?" Clark smiled at him before sitting down at the table beside him. "Well, it's about time we start decorating, don't you think?" "Yes!" Conner's blue eyes lit up, sitting up straighter at the table. "It's time to drag the big box out!" Clark chuckle. "Eat first," he said, starting to eat his own lunch.
"Is Dad gonna join us?" Clark smiled, finishing his food. "Yeah, Dad said he'd be leaving early." His eyes went to the clock on the kitchen wall, smiling slightly. "It's not a long drive from Metropolis. I'm sure he'll be home in time, and if not we can always rescue him." "Yes! I wanna rescue, him! Can we fly to him?" Clark laughed, smiling at his son's excitement. "First lunch, then the box, and then we can go see him. Deal?" Conner nodded, eating his food a bit faster at the plan. "Are we gonna get a tree today too?" "Of course, we'll set out all the decorations and then get Dad to go shopping with us before dinner." "Oh! Are we going to get it from the same place? The one with the homemade chocolate?" "Where else would we go? I don't think your father would go anywhere else, especially if they didn't have any little marshmallows like in that place does."
4. Alright another one that will probably end up being fluffy (at least for these bastards) and smutty cause well I just love a crass Peter who is just extremely uncomfortable. I just love lonelyeyes and my favorite HC about being the weirdest and sexiest family heirloom. The idea of the Lukas dressing up as Santa for a Magnus Institute board member/office party just makes me laugh so much. I just can't imagine how uncomfortable the Lukas would be, and I feel like it would greatly amuse James. He's a bit of a snippet from Its Itchy ('cause yeah of course it is Peter)
"Its tradition! You Lukas' are perfect for the the role." Peter raised his brows at him shifting the hat that sat over his already greying hair. "Well, appearance wise anyway…" "Horrible genes we have," Peter commented as James fiddled with the black belt that held the extra padding to his already soft stomach. "However," his hands left the man's waist, considering the streaks of white throughout Peter's beard and hair. "You could use some more time in the Lonely couldn't you?" He asked, fingers touching over his bearded chin. "If that's the case, I'll just go," body already fading. "Get more in character for you?" "Oh, no you don't." Beholding prickled through James' heavy stare keeping the Forsaken from creeping through his office. "You will not escape your duties, Peter. Like it or not you are the representative for your family." James' glared at him as Peter shifted under the his gaze. At the sight of his discomfort and his solid form his lips returned to their wide grin. "I assure you it will be worth your while," James' added, fingers curling through Peter's untrimmed beard happy when Peter stayed where he was, despite the feeling of being seen and known by the older avatar. "I doubt even bending you over my knee would be worth it." James' eyes lit at the thought, grin unwavering. "You'd be surprised. I am quiet flexible," he teased, enjoying the raise of Peter's brows. "Now," his had patting his cheek not so lightly. "Smile. Santa is meant to be jolly."
5. The last thing I'm working on that's very new for the holidays is a holiday horror! I'm really excited about it since it wasn't really on my mind until we were decorating for Yule and my husband started putting out our little snowmen and things and I was like OH SHIT that's a great idea! and nearly made him break one of our Santas. Its gonna be a statement fic for TMA not quite sure about who's taking it yet and I've only written a few lines but I'm stoked about the direction.
CW: Fear, uncanny vibes, and grief
Just never been a fan. Something about their empty eyes and painted on faces following you… just didn't find it festive. So when my girlfriend brought this topper home for our first tree living together I hated it and I told her as much. She'd known Christmas was a hard time for my family. But knew I still did up my tree, decorated my windows with lights and such, but I never had figurines. We had a big fight about it, especially when I saw the thing. It was… familiar. I knew it couldn't be the same. It wasn't as old —it was still in the box even! But it's painted eyes and rosy cheeks, that smile it… it looked just like mum's angel, like Sandy's angel. I walked out. Didn't even finish the fight. I just had to get away from those eyes, that smile. God, that grin. After seeing the angel topper again, I just couldn't stop thinking about Sandy. Couldn't stop thinking about her smile, about my sister's wide eyes and that horrid thing Amanda wanted to put in our home. I walked for hours. I don't really know how long but I ended up by some shops and had a sit with a cuppa and some flakey thing they had in the window. I didn't want to go home. I just thought I'd sit a bit, listen to the carols and people watched through the window. I hadn't really noticed it until I saw reflection in the window, how scared I was. My eyes were so wide and it started me, but not as much as when I noticed the eyes focused on me. The shoppers kept busy, going shuffling and hustling about in the cold air and the decorations... They were busy too.
6. Okay bonus one that I'm super excited about! More fuckin' slaughter!Elias! God, I really love this au with Hunt!Peter for the Magnus Archives. I just have been having a time flushing this spin off out while writing super fluffy holiday fics. This one is gonna be a bit of a rewind from where Catch Me took place and based all around answers to the questions in my mind of "Well who did he outsource the institute to? How involved is he in it still?" and of course "How does Gertrude dying look different with the slaughter involved?" Thrilling questions if you ask me, and I have been having fun fucking around with answering them and raising more questions. Here's a little bit from the opening for Beholding is a Clingy Bitch (because I love a title that makes me laugh):
Elias' brow furrowed, glaring into the flames of the gas stove he was cooking on. His hand paused in his stirring, head hanging at the thrust of information into his head. Pain seared through his head, culminating behind his eyes, a groan leaving him. Breath rushed from his lungs, feeling himself hyperventilating and unable to control it as his eyes were forced to stay open. He felt his hands clench and slam against the counter, against the pot he had been heating as he watched Gertrude. "Elias?" He couldn't answer, pain overwhelming the beating drums and singing trumpets as Beholding held onto him. He managed a grunting, aching groan of pain as his hands clenched the kitchen counter. He swallowed hard, almost able to smell the petrol she was buying to burn his institute. Slowly, the iron grip on his eyes faded, his heart once more beating to the sound of drums and the rage that sustained him. A harsh exhalation rushed from his shaking lungs, feeling Peter hovering behind him. He blinked, finally able to close his eyes, a sigh left him as the nausea of knowing left him. "Water, Peter, please." His hand rubbed his eyes, pressing them slightly to sooth the ache. He could hear a cup being filled as he tried to ground himself and feel in control of his body again. He relaxed a bit when Peter placed the cup in front of him and a hand on his back. Elias took it with a shaky hand, and the other man helped him slowly sip on it. "Bloody hell," he groaned, leaning back on the broad chest, feeling like he could vomit. "Are you alright?" Peter took the glass from him, arms wrapping around the other. "What was that?" "Beholding has a problem, and apparently it is determined to make it mine." Peter huffed a laugh at that, holding the glass to Elias' lips again once he looked a bit less shaky, silently commanding him to drink. "Clingy God that one, seems you'll never be rid of it," he mused, watching Elias' regain some of his colour. "Mm, it would seem," he sighed, anger filling him at the indignity and pushiness of the sight of Gertrude and her plans to destroy his institute. "It also seems that dinner will be a bit late tonight, darling."
Thanks again for the tag @tinysnacklefan! These are always so much fun to do and share and think about. I can't wait to share these stories ^-^
