The presenters at the Start Up Show Down could really benefit from our FBDS principles.  You need to tell us what your company does FAST, how it can help us make better DECISIONS and in a clear and SIMPLE way that we can understand in your 5 minute pitch. Of course you also have to be BRAVE to stand up in front of hundreds of people.  And if you are NOT FBDS you have the terror of wrapping it up to the tune of the Jaws Theme Song. 

Brander is basically Klout 2.0. Instead of scoring influencers generally, these influencers are monitored to understand them and only ask them to promote a product/service that they are truly interested in. This makes the promotion as organic as possible.

Though much of the morning has been clouded by the ice storm that is the judging panel, there is positive evidence that they are NOT actually complete jerks. As the room grew colder and colder (because of the a/c, not because of the judge's icy comments), one judge offered another his suit jacket. Our hearts melted.
