A relationship is like a building.
Both of us set Brick for Brick,
Building high,
Building wide.
Slowly Room for Room.
With pictures on the walls,
And instruments all over the place.
We've build high and wide,
With windows and platforms.
And it seems,
That I was standing atop,
Imagining the next Rooms,
The tower we would build,
While you must have looked at the cellar, the basement.
Walking through the beams and Stone walls,
Someway trapped in a house, you just wanted to leave.
As the wind blew at the top of the platform, I just watched you go through the high grass, leaving a trail that soon disappeared.
Air in my hair,
I am now sitting on top of a building so empty, so lifeless.
The ghost of you somehow haunts it still,
As the wind rattles on the windows and howls through the empty rooms.
Air in my hair,
I am now sitting on top of a building so empty, so lifeless.
Looking far,
Looking wide.
See a house in the distance.
Could be yours.
I don't know,
I don't know.
Laying down,
And watching the clouds drift away.
