A touch of frost for time (closed Rp)

Aestas was at a planet she didnāt utterly recognize. She had been on many human planets before, but this one seemed to be, well. Mostly empty for one thing.
She checked over her gear, looking at her pistol, which she had carried for a while now. It was a custom made one which fit her needs more and which handled her abilities more. The gun itself had a biometric scanner that had it so that it was keyed to her DNA, that way no one would be able to shoot it at her, a paranoid precaution that her father had made, and for good reason.
She checked over her armor, it was light, but comfortable and durable for most cases, and it had a few of the necessities. A O2 unit that could hold up to 30 minutes of air inside as a precaution, with a mask set on where she could reach. Pockets for ammo and other necessities, among that she also had a satchel over her side with a clear red cross. The unified identification of a medic or doctor. She was in a sense a doctor, but she was more of an alchemist, but she had passed her PhD so she was at least certified.
Last but not least, an important part of your every day space fairing adventures, a pair of digital binoculars. Able to see in ways that the naked eye couldnāt see.
The frosty leafon had come to this planet because of a strange signal she had found on her ship. Her A.I had called her attention to it, asking if they should investigate. She had wanted to say no, since the planet was supposed to be barren. But something was odd about it. So she had landed. Her ship was some miles away, she had walked from the rest of the way to here, to this lonely spot.
The spot she was in? Well, it wasnāt one thing, a five star hotel.
A gaping chasm of what used to be a military warehouse loomed overhead. She had been staring at the entrance for a while now, a creeping feeling going up her spine. The structure was perhaps 15 or so feet high, the metal old and rusted through, with what she could only surmise were supposed to be old, but at the time, state of the art military humvees.
The place was slightly chilly, though that didnāt bother her, but what did bother her, was the state of emptiness this place had. It felt like this place was supposed to be bustling with life, bustling with activity. But was for all purposes, left here. Like the residents and soldiers that had been here had left in a great big hurry.
She knew she should go inside, investigate. But she wasnāt really enthused. She was going solo, no backup on the way, only armed with a pistol that could admittedly be cranked into stupidly high power levels, but was advised not too. She also had her magic and maybe a few explosives if necessary, so she wasnāt unarmed. But she felt like she was going into this without any real armaments. It was a creeping feeling she didnāt like.
āFuck. Better get this over with.ā She muttered, more to herself then to the empty air, and started to head in, flashlight on, and firearm at standby.
