"Not to be that guy," he starts, actively being that guy with a switchblade passively opening and closing, "but where's the flair?"

I’ve officially joined the world of the put-together and signed a lease on an apartment, but at what cost? Now I need furniture and black-out curtains. Pathetic.
Does anyone wanna get drunk and distract me from everyday responsibilities? Oh! Also hi I’m Penelope, but for the love of god just call me Penny.
He’s lost his shirt, and now his pants? Axel could’ve sworn he had it on him when he went to take a chug from his. . . 6th? 7th? how many drinks has he had, really? He walked by the poolside, drenched in water. “How the fuck did I get here in the first place?” He squinted his eyes, trying to get a better vision through the blur at the person he stopped to talk to. “I’m not even that drunk if I can still take my clothes off, right?” He half-laughed as he slurred out the words.
Perhaps he was a little too off edge.

It had been a long drive to Lavender Town, but it was worth coming home. Chroma parked her RV near the PokeCenter. All the nurses knew her, and she had special permission to do so, especially since she would use her abilities to help the Pokemon. Parking, Chroma went inside, let the nurses know, then set foot to the Pokemon Tower.
She looked up at the Tower, feeling the presence of sadness, grief, and rest. It was an odd combination, but it was something she always associated home with. She went inside, said hello to a few of the desk clerks, then made her way up the tower. She went slowly, passing along the tombstones, gently touching them.
------ “I’ve never really been too big a fan of masquerade balls. I like to know who I’m talking to, y’know?” He lifted his hand to mess with the plain black mask that hid his face, “It’s rather bothersome to have everybody be a stranger.” He tilted his head, “Although... you look a bit familiar. I bet I can guess who you are.”

"I think I have decided what my costume is going to be. Listen: dark brown shirt, dark brown pants, and some yellow felt.”
He paused slightly. “Basically, I’m going to be a piece of shit because that way I don’t really have to try too hard, and it can still be a representation of me the other three-hundred and sixty-four days of the year.”
Calliope finished unpacking her things in her villa and was now in the bar at the Mansion. It was quiet so far but she knew Black Forest like she knew which veins bled out the quickest and she knew it would get loud soon enough. She sauntered up to the bar and leaned over it. She smiled as the bartender approached her. “Vodka Martini, thank you,” she ordered before she turned around to look at the bar. She smiled at no one in particular before she felt a tap on her shoulder.
Melissa had spent her month off back in the states visiting her family and apparently had eaten too much of her mom’s egg salad because this tube top dress was tight as hell. She tugged at it more as she started to make her way toward the cabin. She wished they would pave these damn paths, it was hard to walk in heels. She felt a little bit like a hooker being this dressed up early in the day but it was the job. She had to look on point at all times of the day. She heard someone call her name and she turned around and smiled at who she saw. “Hey!” she greeted happily.
