she’d had a long day. and when she eventually got home the apartment was empty. thank god. it was going to be so nice to just have the place for herself for a while. now, she didn’t always enjoy being alone, but who didn’t need some time for themselves? finally, she could write without being interrupted every other minute. she plugged in her earplugs and listened to her favorite playlist. she was writing her essay while chatting with her friend from class in another window, when suddenly a hand wrapped around her throat from behind. her heart stopped for a second and she quickly pulled out her earplugs. 

nora was currently doing homework in her friend’s living room. if it weren’t for the fact that her friend wasn’t with her, it would have looked completely normal. but her friend was at cheerleading practice and had asked her to wait for her so they could continue working on their project later. but when she heard the front door slam shut and approaching footsteps, she looked up from her computer. she wasn’t expecting anyone home so soon. “ uhm hi ?  i’m just doing some homework,” she explained to them, like that would be the most normal thing to do in another person’s home.
