Not that he can blame her after what happened before. As such, he keeps his distance. No doubt the experience proved to be quite unsettling.

"And I owe much of an explanation. It is quite the long story. Your visit has impeccable timing, also."

To think she actually accepted to meet him within Lumiose. The city is both a reminder of his own actions, but also a protection from Exceed. Continuing work here is the perfect excuse to avoid returning to his company.

Spinel took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Now he thinks more about it... He has a vague memory of conflict between them. Someone was reaching out to him that day. So perhaps, her willingness for this reunion was not all that odd.

"Truthfully, I was returning to my vehicle. Do you remember it? The van I use for my work? It's in the city. I believe I remember where..."

"Leave me here...?" his voice trailed off, hints of confusion shown at the end. "This is my company. You're not leaving me anywhere. Myself and Exceed are the same, and you have nothing to be concerned about."

"Now... if the locked doors weren't enough of a hint, you're no longer welcome within the building. The attempts you made were distressing my staff... And so, as their Director, I must address this problem."

Quite the dramatic outburst which he was unable to understand. Simply a raised eyebrow. A display of violence that grand right outside their doors would be unsuitable...

There are too many people here. It is a city, after all.

"My dear, do not tempt me. It would be quite distasteful, but not fully off the table if you do not heed my warning."

... Hey- Where... am I? I ended up falling asleep and now I'm in this strange forest... I don't even have my cane, I can't get very far without it... ,, The girl worriedly supports herself against a tree, addressing the man she'd come across. He certainly didn't look normal... but neither did she. She pushes her hair behind her shoulder, trying not to fall over. That's odd. He doesn't remember the Espeon. From what he recalls, he used to visit here often as part of his research tasks for Exceed. Did she not have one before? Or was something else at play?

Once his role was over, he had no reason to keep coming here. A simple wrap up. Such should have been the end of it. But he found himself wondering more once they reconnected. As a researcher, he couldn't leave it alone. He always wished to discover the truth, and such is why he honoured these visits between his work.

Giving a smile which was a little more genuine than normal, he gave her Espeon a few careful pats before returning some distance. There is always an air of caution given around Psychic Types, as fond as he is of Eevee's evolutions.

"Hm? What have you discovered?"

That didn't make sense. The only reason they met was because he was sent to investigate her condition, an order from Exceed alone. Yet in the photo, her state seemed less worn. Not only that, but he doesn't remember this at all. Surely, going to such an important location would be an event he would remember.

Thinking on it too much risks a headache like last time. His mind instead begins to wonder if she's attempting to trick him. It's not difficult to fake a photograph.

He's decided to play along, for now.

"I do not recall that... But it would make sense that I was seeking out a Pokemon so rare. It is exciting to find one, it benefits our strive for progress."

Sybil says this with a chuckle, legs crossed while she works on something in one of her numerous journals. This one seemed to be her memory journal, listing what all she's done throughout the day. They'd been out a while, planning out which legendary to observe next...

... One decision, my friend. In our out of region? Your Magnezone and my Togekiss will fly us along just fine, so... it depends on how much spare time you have. ,,

There is no rest for The Director of Exceed. He often has his hands full with the needs of his business. His staff have been recently frustrated with his disappearances. The man who rarely left his office within the building, now meeting a 'friend' of his often. So they claim he tells them.

Perhaps he was actually having fun for once... And his work was still being achieved. The more sinister members of his company, lurking within the Exceed vaults, are monitoring this situation, however.

And Malamar is always watching.

Sybil wilts a little against her cane, giggling. She sure was giddy! She was wearing that new dress he got her, and once she recovers, she trots up to Quinn, and she tosses her arms around him, giggling.

... You're so sweet... thank you for getting the dress for me, you really didn't have to! Is there anything I can give in return? I don't have much... ,,

Of course she was thinking about repaying him, she always tried to give back. She gave him one last little squeeze before releasing him.

Quinn saw the woman come near him-- wearing that new dress she had really been eyeing that one day. Good thing with being the god of creation essentially-- getting that dress was as easy as blinking. Of course he'd have to get her it-- it'd make her happy!

He opened his arms when he saw her go in for the hug, a soft chuckle, he returned it.

"You're very silly if you thought I was seeking something in return for that dress. I can create what I see with ease. Seeing you happy with the dress is repayment, my dear~," Quinn told the woman with a grin.
