starrelia replied to your post: Fandom is built and maintained by adults. They...
Adults are the only reason as to why many writers and artists are able to support themselves with patreon and whatever, because teenagers definitely cannot work and give money without making their parents suspicious, or struggling. A ton of people with merchandise target adults. I’m tired of teenagers and children coming into fandom space and then acting entitled; teenagers don’t run the show, adults have. And always will.

This may be a question posed before, but how different do you think Death note would have been if Light was a woman and wasn't a man?
I think that heavily depends on how you set the parameters for such an AU.There’s two major ways to approach AUs that change a backstory premise.
One is to say “well, their personality will be the same at the end, so we adjust the backstory to fit the personality” and the other is to say “we are keeping the conditions of their backstory the same and go on to explore how gendered social norms would have affected their personality in growing up.”And then of course there’s the choice about whether you AU them as a cis or a trans woman, which I think affects especially the latter option. And then if you decide to AU as trans, you have to question if they’re out or not… (though trans woman Light who isn’t out would just have the almost same plot happen to her.)
Basically, I’m saying I have a hard time answering this generally because to me this is like a million possible AUs that all have a lot of differences, haha.
SO. I’m keeping this very general.
For the first, orz-worthy change I thought of: Matsuda would probably try to flirt with her until Soichiro exasperatedly puts his foot down on the matter, sob…
One big change would of course be Misa, because she’d treat Light rather differently. Her initial motivation in searching Kira is to say thanks, not to date them at all cost. That’s an idea she develops because Light is a handsome young man. Since Misa’s a hetero-normative and quite possibly heterosexual person, her romantic obsessiveness with Light probably wouldn’t come to pass. She’d want to cooperate with Light for sure, but it would go differently. It’s actually debatable whether or not she’d have been as insistent on seeing Light, thus kicking off the Yotsuba Arc? Might be a pretty big change there, huh.
Speaking of Yotsuba-Arc, I doubt the Task Force would agree to L chaining himself to a woman, since it entails living together... Though I doubt L himself would care at all.Â
Light wouldn’t have to date Takada for cover either and I bet that Takada would feel more rivalry-like for Light to start with, so if Mikami still chooses Takada as a spokeswoman Light would have to think up a different approach to her, too...
Generally I think though the story would remain of similar quality and atmosphere with added “Light faces sexism and sighs deeply” thrown into the mix. As far as it concerns the plot, this would be a huge rewrite project though.

I also front clasp my bras because it's so easy. You just flop them upside down in front of you from behind so that when you turn around you can easily put your arms through the little bands and then put the cups in your titties
how did i not know this was even a thing

I remember being taught how to use a bra! I developed really fast, really early, and rather large. My mom had to teach me how to do it because I couldn't reach around and she was sick of doing it for me. My step-sisters taught me the "do it in the front thing" but I hated that because of how big my boobs are (for reference, I'm a G now, younger me was a DD). I couldn't see the fucking clasp over them
I also developed early but all I remember from that was being dragged if not kicking and screaming, then at least huffing and sarcasming. And then I woke up several years later with a full knowledge of clasping bras in the back. No in-between.
hyperioncompanyman replied to your post
Honestly I know it's bad to do so but I keep my bras clasped at all times and just pull them over my head like a shirt. Because I can't reach behind me to clasp it from behind and trying to do it from the front is a no go either. Being a bigger girl does not help.
DUDE i used to do this too when I had some bras without underwire!! It was so much easier.

This whole thing makes me wanna rant because bad ends are not a bad thing! Every visual novel has a bad end to punish you for BEING A DICK or going the wrong route or, heck, are even for people who like bad endings just because they like it! Some games literally have bad endings where you and your love interest don’t date and you’re just friends. Also, people are allowed to want a protagonist that is POC… especially given the amount of POC in the world!
Today’s culture of purity politics cannot possibly understand people liking a bad end. Its inconceivable.
