I walk through my darkness and see no end in sight
Blinded by my own hubris, I dared to dream for more
For the stars are gems of the universe, gifts of old gods
I am complacent and obedient Ive known no other way
And with my bow made of dreams I shoot my past into the sky
Memories of old I hide through the stories of warriors and wives
I painted the sky in constellations arranged the stars to my like
I caught falling comets many and adorned my cloak with them
I watched the combustion of stars, And realized my insignificance
I was merely a speck of dust in a haze of celestial waste
It disappointed me so and I wept much starlight away
A starsage of old gods, forgotten keeper of galaxies
I earned my freedom from fate and no longer cared for anything
Immortality was my gift but I always knew it was my right
For I knew what I was and I will hide in the shadows no more
I serve no one and wander to the ends of the endless void
I search for the truth to cure the ache I feel in me
I found Loneliness was the price to pay for my wanderlust
And the stars have taught me there is no other way
To be unneeded and wander through the rest of my life
My stars will shine bright and lead me from the darkness inside
