this post is so horrifically overdue that's my bad but here we are-

i've had this idea marinating in my head for a little while of a "life is strange/final destination inspired horror edition" of keyframes that i wanna ramble about

i don't wanna say it's a completely thought out au but the basic idea is this:

somehow the main cast have found themselves wrapped up in a mystery that's resulting in each of them getting picked off one by one from a deadly threat, think a typical bloody slasher movie plot. the catch is that the MC have inexplicably found themselves stuck in a time loop that keeps resetting them back to the beginning of the horrors whenever they get killed

MC doesn't fully keep their memories from each loop, only retaining foggy bits and pieces. BUT every single picture they take on their camera from every loop is saved, giving them glimpses of what's been going on to them and their friends

so the idea is that using their fractured memories and whatever evidence they have on their camera, MC desperately has to try to string together the mystery and keep their friends from dying (no matter how hard fate keeps fighting against them) through each loop. and even if they managed to solve the mystery they will not consider it a victory unless no one dies. they have to save everyone.

repeat the loop. solve the mystery. save their friends. .....and pray they don't lose their mind in the process.

aaaand that's basically it! i thought of this under the pretense of it still being a video game hence the time loop thing. honestly i think this would also work if it was changed to a final destination type "premonition" and sorta have it work like until dawn or the quarry where the deaths are permanent you just have to hope you make the right choices to prevent it. whatever sounds more angsty for the MC

but with all that being said… if infold genuinely HAD to do something about valko’s release…. could they not have just….. delayed it..?

like from my understanding the hate surrounding valko wasn’t exclusively just cause “he’s ugly” but because apparently other li’s (namely caleb and sylus) were getting shoved to the side and it seemed like there wasn’t a good balance of content between the characters, and so infold being like “hey btw there’s a new guy coming too lol” was essentially just the straw that broke the camels back. but with AAALLL that in mind, if infold really did HAVE to do something about valko as a result, why not just delay the release??? was he that disposable?????
