bonus: drew all the ROs in my style... perri and beck didnt end up exactly how i wanted but i guess that means i gotta draw them again

since they’d assumedly be the first baby in mistria for a few years (referring to the baby as they since i haven’t settled on anything official in terms of gender and whatnot), i think it’d be pretty exciting for everybody.

i think lots of the older folks would offer to look over them for the day while both Magnolia and Balor are working or doing things. Josephine and Hemlock, and their kids, would specifically be very involved in their lives because of their close (familial-adjacent) relationship with Balor. Likewise, Magnolia’s biological family (Holt, Nora, Celine, and Dell) would help out significantly. Dell would definitely be really fascinated by the baby, and try to prove that their every action was proof they’re destined to be a Dragonguard warrior :)c

i personally think that Balor would be a little hesitant to hand his baby over to others — he’s come so far, of course, but suspicious or preservationist instincts are hard to kill entirely. he knows they’d never do anything to them, but it’s still a learning curve. it’s like handing a part of himself over to someone. as a dad, though, i think he’d be able to tell awesome bedtime stories from his life. i’ve seen videos saying that it’s developmentally very good for parents to always be talking to/around their babies, and i feel like he’d be awesome at that. also always brings magnolia and the baby a trinket back from the city whenever he goes there.

Magnolia would instill a deep appreciation and care for nature into her children. “Gentle hands” with all the animals. shows them how to effectively pick fruits and veggies, how to water them correctly, etc. but also treats them to more wild or uncontrolled aspects like creeks and whatnot. she generally has no problem letting others keep the baby for a day or so, especially when she’s feeling burnt out.
