BEST THING I’VE READ ALL DAY.Â
THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME SMILE. @starcityarrow
Character: Felicity Smoak Verse: Season 2 For: @starcityarrow
The tears rolled down her face as she watched the arrow sink into the Count and then fall backwards and out of the window. An empty needle sat on the floor beside her. She had been injected with the strong drug moments before The Hood had killed him.Â
She had fallen seconds after the drugs had been injected into her system, her head had hit the floor and her version was blurred. She tried to focus on Oliver, her glasses crooked on her face. Sweat had already begun to roll down her face.Â
“Oliver...” She started but didn’t know where to go from there. The room was beginning to spin and she felt nauseous.Â

One minute Oliver was flying the helicopter, and the next it was like an electromagnetic pulse had hit it. All the controls and all of the lights and gauges on the dashboard went dead, and she found herself yelling, “Pull up, pull up,” despite the fact that she knew it was futile. They were going down, and they were going down fast, which had her turning her head to meet Oliver’s gaze - if only for a second. Then she reached out and grabbed his arm, bracing herself for impact.

“Join the queue agent Davidson.”
He was notoriously reckless at times and an endless source of frustration for everyone that cared about him. “Besides, it got us the next lead, sergeant Blonsky knows more than he lets on and I think his new Mercedes tells us why- ”
Amelia did not wait for Oliver to finish his statement. Instead, she roughly grabbed his shoulders, giving him a small shake as if to snap him out of his current thoughts.
“Are you even listening to yourself?!” she snapped. “Damnit, Queen! You almost died and for what? For what?!” She let out an angry huff, pushing him back from her as she glared at him. She ran her hands through her hair as she held back from another yelling, taking the brief pause to compose herself.
“I get it. Alright, I do. I get it. But you... You can’t just think of yourself, you can’t be this reckless! Something happens to you, and what? I get to tell your sister that you died?” she almost spat the word, her voice nearly cracking with emotion. It was clear, this struck a personal chord--a painful one--for Amelia. “I’m not doing that to her... You asked me to trust you, Queen, and I do. So now I’m asking you to trust me...”
“You’re not alone in this, alright? We need you for this operation. It falls apart without you, Queen... No more stunts like this, please?” she requested after a moment, the building tears gone and her voice smooth and even.

Speaking from experience? John could fill a damn book at this point really. So yeah he could speak from experience that it was a bad idea. Celebrating the fact that he had survived was a great idea. Hell John had been the first one to do just that. But there was a difference between celebrating and being a smug prick. Ollie sometimes needed to be aware that he danced on that line. Pissing off what he was used to dealing with would probably be a bad plan.Â
“Talkin from a bit of experience, yeah. Really don’t want to piss off th’ bastards I deal wit’.” John informed him thinking about the times he had done just that. He had paid in full for those offenses. He might not have felt the effects personally but the people around him did. He was still breathing after all. But there was an ever growing list of bodies behind him.
He knew that giving advice probably sounded strange to most people. Hell it seemed weird to him. Didn’t mean he thought anyone would really listen. Just he sometimes felt the need to throw that out there. “Oh survivin is a real thin’ to wanna celebrate. Have at it. Jus’ don’t piss anythin’ off? Might regret it.”Â
Out of Uniform
[Closed starter for @starcityarrow.]
Nightclubs were not normally Amelia’s thing. She didn’t have anything against them, but they were too crowded, too loud, and working for a secretive federal agency tended to make one distrustful of places where you couldn’t control the variables.
But now, after certain things came into light, Verdant piqued her interest. Exactly, what was the nightclub run by a vigilante’s younger sister look like? Besides, she earned herself a night off. Why not have a little bit of fun?
It was ten when Amelia walked into the bar, dressed in something different for her. Since she was doing something outside her norm, why not try something else different? She bought the dress a couple of years ago (during her last (albeit brief) relationship, and it still fit.
She glanced around with a faint smile. It looked nice, it really did. Thea Queen should be proud of herself for how well she was running the club. She did wonder if she did name the club “Verdant” due to her brother, though. It wasn’t a bad name, but it did make Amelia chuckle after she learned the truth about the Arrow.
Amelia went to the bar. “A gin fizz, please,” she ordered with a polite smile, thanking the bartender and tipping him before she took a small sip, curiously glancing around.
Some days I still think about starcityarrow.... That’s it. That’s the post.
I’ll be writing tonight. Sorry for the radio silence.
