The Superhero Relocation Program has been hailed as a success, despite the recent uproar of mutants and humans alike who want it overthrown and actively campaign against it. In reaction to the recent defectors and chaotic events, politicians feel forced to remind everyone who is actually in charge. Magneto’s speech and the recent death of the mayor added fuel to thire fire - and compared to what the second interim mayor was capable of, the old one had been tame.
The new interim mayor has made a public statement. He can no longer allow superheroes and mutants to take control of the streets. This anniversary of the SRP will supersede the one before it. Not only would it reinstate the importance of the ban, but there will be speakers and supporters providing generous donations, time, and effort to make the party as elaborate and ostentatious as possible. It will take place in the historic Apollo Ballroom, famous for the days where it was a jumping jazz club and later a venue for some of the greatest rockstars in the world.
Mutant Activist Jean Grey has elected to lead the protest that will be taking place just outside the ballroom. The area has been roped off from the entrance and lined with policemen ordered to keep the peace. People are gathering with signs and pent up emotion that has been building for weeks. Tensions are high, and people are angry.
And with that, our event has begun! Feel free to start posting starters and starting threads that take place during the party! Remember that this event will last from now, SATURDAY, APRIL 14TH, 6 PM to SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST, 6 PM with a couple of plot drops in between! Tag your posts with the tags STARCEVENT, STARCANNIVERSARY and either STARCPARTY or STARCPROTEST, depending on where your character is! We have a list of who is protesting in THIS POST, and if you would like your characters to join the protest, please shoot the main a message!
And, as always, LIKE THIS POST ONCE YOU’VE SEEN IT!!
