LUNA: Okay!!!! I can meet you at the entrance? The one by the library!

“Consider it payment for sending the douchebag cop on his way. Besides, I didn’t even hit that hard.” he said, rolling his eyes, “Look, the little I know is this shindig ain’t gonna stay happy for long. So, lets wait until the shit hits the fan and then freak out.” he deadpanned, “I know, pretty sweet disguise right? I’m getting better at this magic schtick all the time.” Especially now he had a decent teacher who wanted him to learn. “And of course they’re gonna come after you, that’s the point.”

He paused for a moment as a large fuss breaks out closer to the hall doors, “Uh oh. I dunno what they just found out but it can’t be good.”

“ALRIGHT.” Billy says although he was just being dramatic really, it didn't hurt that much. He has been through worse so that was barely anything. He looks at the crowd around them then nervously looks back to Zach. “Yeah the type of crowds usually don’t stay peaceful. You’re going to be the best out of all of us at this rate.” He says looking at him with a genuinely smile. “Well that’s not reassuring.”

Lorna nodded and sigh in relief. “He just want to have an excuse to hurt an mutant”she said and rolled her eyes a bit. “I was surprised when I see that have a lot of people protesting here. I thought that weren’t going to work out".

“WELL AT LEAST WE AREN’T ALONE, we can protest together.” Billy says while smiling up at his aunt. “Quite a turn out, huh?” 

“I’m the delinquent in this family,” Tommy told him. “Don’t go stealing my thunder by getting arrested before anything good even happens.” The protest had barely started and Billy was somehow pissing off cops. Amateur. “You’ve gotta save it up for the climax. Then if you end up in jail…” he shrugged, “you won’t be sitting in there by yourself like a big dork.”

Tommy stood up on the tips of his toes to look over the crowd. “Did you actually come here to chant and sing or whatever? Think that’s gonna work?” It was clear by his tone that he held no such convictions.

“I’LL TRY MY BEST not to get arrested, just for you.” Billy exclaims with a chuckle while nudging his brother’s side gently. He doesn’t usually do this often, protesting, but he was passionate about this anyway. “I’ll keep that in mind, are you the expert in all this? What if we both end up in jail, Tommy?”

“Well, you need to show that you aren’t going to be pushed around. Stand tall, a loud strong voice is most important. Because if you can show them that you’re above them in all respects then they will naturally back down.” she offered, giving him a small smile “I’ve been doing this for too long, I’ve worked in too many groups, if you didn’t have a voice you got spoken over…” she then paused. “Just emit the confidence you have deep down in your passion.”

BILLY NODS HIS HEAD WHILE LISTENING to the woman talk, taking every word to heart because when would he get such great advice again? Especially from her? He wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip away. “You know that’s true, thank you, I will try to stand tall.” He says proudly as he straightens out his posture. “Yeah? You're so cool though. I’ve been on a few teams too myself!”

Stephanie took a step back and was about to lift his his leg to give him a roundhouse kick when the police officer scoff at them and walked away. “The nerve.” She muttered as he watched him walked away. Letting out a deep breath, Stephanie was actually glad he walked away. She would have been caught in a trouble and that was the last thing she wanted although trouble was probably normal in protests like this. “What a fucking asshole, right? Are you okay?”

Dick knows some of the other officers don’t exactly care about protecting the protesters. They’re here to enforce the law, but sometimes they take it a little too far - like this. “Good, I’m glad you’re not hurt. Don’t worry, they - we can’t arrest you for standing around.” He assures the kid with a soft sigh, looking over at some of the other officers again. “It’s okay, just doing my job. And you don’t have to call me sir, really.” Dick looks back towards the kid and offers him a smile. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

LUNA: YAY!

LUNA: How about tomorrow?? I'm off work!!

LUNA: ME TOO!!!

BILLY: Tomorrow is perfect !! We'll make a day out of it.

“What were you even doing here, my darling. It’s – dangerous.” She sighs a little. She knew the answer she wasn’t sure why she even asked. Of course he was here, the whole world should be here to see and hear what mutants and gifted people had to say. He had every right to stand up for himself and his family, his friends – Wanda just wished it didn’t come at a price. “How could they not trust a face like yours,” She tries to joke, giving his shoulder a squeeze. “Is Teddy here?”

“I’M PROTESTING how ridiculous all of this is.” Billy explains as if it was meant to be obvious. He smiles at her though, hoping that she would understand why he had to do this. He was proud of being a mutant and didn’t want to hide it. He would, but the fact that he has to is ridiculous.

Wanda rushed over, bag on one shoulder, camera on another, “Please, hi, sorry, this is my son.” She says, tone even, but the kind of even that said she was upset but trying to reign it in. “He’s only 17, you’d have to release him into my custody anyway, so please. We will be out of here, we won’t make any trouble,” Wanda says to the officer, hand clenching and unclenching around the strap of her bag. Wanda was on edge in the crowd and now this – it was a lot. But she was polite as the officer uncuffed Billy and she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. “Are you alright?” She asked as she steered him away quickly. “What happened?”

BILLY WAS THANKFUL WHEN THE OFFICER uncuffed him, and he rubbed his wrists when he walks away. His gaze looking up at his mother as she’s speaking to him. “I’m glad to see you, but I’m alright. They didn’t hurt me much, just tried to scare me I think.” He confesses with a sigh as he was moved away from the area. “I stepped somewhere I shouldn’t have been on accident, and they didn’t believe me when I said I didn't mean to go there.”

LUNA: Umm I think they're canoes?

LUNA: YES!!! I was hoping you would want to!!!

BILLY: Oh!! This sounds like fun when should we go?

LUNA: Yay!!

LUNA: Actually, I was thinking of visiting the park by the river? I heard they have boats!!!

BILLY: What kind of boats?

“It’s dangerous here, Billy - hey!” Teddy frowns and pulls Billy out of the way of a few of the more.. intense rioters. They’re here for a good cause, Teddy knows, and he’ll support it as much as he can, but he needs to protect Billy too. There’s nothing in the world that’s worth risking him, not a single thing, not in Teddy’s eyes.

It’s taking everything he has not to shift in the middle of this riot but he manages it, sticking with his human appearance for the time being. “You’re okay? No one’s hurt you yet, right? We need to get out of here, it’s only going to get worse.”

“YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN!” Billy shouts as he’s pulled out of the way of the rioters. This was for a good cause and he doesn’t regret coming out. He doesn’t approve of what they proposed, wanting to start a registry. They really think that little of them? He’s glad that Teddy was here with him though, looking out for him. 

“Hey! Take it easy!” Dick yells at the officer. He knows a pretty decent chunk of the SCPD has a very harsh view of heroes living around here, but that doesn’t mean he shares that view, or that he ever will. Really, tonight he’s here to protect the protesters as much as he is to contain the protest. “He didn’t do anything, hands off. Unless you wanna get written up again.” He threatens, raising his eyebrows at the officer. After a few moments they let the boy go with an annoyed kind of grumble, walking away to find someone else to try and intimidate. “Sorry about that, are you okay?”

The beauty of being in a magical disguise was Zach could finally put his acting skills to use and play an innocent teenager. In this case, he saw Billy in trouble and sighed before stepping forward, voice a little lighter than usual, “Oh thank goodness! Officer please, I think I saw some frightening looking people at the ally back there could you please make sure they’re gone? I don’t feel safe walking home with them there.” Not that he was leaving but it was enough to get the guy out of the way so he could round on Billy and smack him on the arm.

“You dumbass. Ever hear of a peaceful protest? These guys are looking for any excuse o arrest to Billy so unless you wanna get married in prison work in the legal loopholes.” He rolled his eyes after wards because it just occurred to him the other thought he was a stranger. “It’s me, Zach. Magical disguise for the win.” he deadpanned.

BILLY DIDN’T EVEN DO ANYTHING except for step somewhere he wasn’t supposed to. Although maybe they just took anyone they could to try and make an example out of. He’s let go when some stranger approaches them talking about some frightening people in an ally. With a grumble the officer leaves to go check stout since that seems more important than dealing with him. “Ow! You didn’t have to hit me.” Billy says while he’s rubbing his arm.

The green woman gave a slight stomp at the cop who quickly scampered off, Jen shaking her head at the cops audacity to even try such a thing with her. The She Hulk looked down at the other when he spoke and she gave a soft small smile at him “You could be. You just can’t let yourself be pushed around. “ she said to him in a sweeter tone that didn’t at all sound like it belonged to the woman who had just been angrily yelling.

“WHAT’S THE KEY to not letting yourself be pushed around? Can you offer me any advice?” Billy asks with a smile as he looks up at the woman. He can’t help, but to be fond of her. He always looked up to the older heroes, the ones that came before he had. Even at an event such as this they were here, and that means something.
