So, guess who's Steven Universe trash now?

After being convinced by my fellow Starfighters to give the series a shot, I've since fallen in love with it only fifteen or so episodes in, and I just had to whip up a design for what my Gemsona would look like! MASSIVE shout-out to @stephysalcido and @minxxikuo for collaborating with me on her design— it wouldn't have been possible without them! 💚✨

I certainly wouldn't mind a few more SU-obsessed mutuals #I've always said that if I were to have a Steven Universe S/I that I would base them off the igneous rock Mica #Because tell me that ISN'T the perfect thing to base a Gemsona off of.#We decided that a 'magical girl' motif would fit her perfectly and that she should have more faded colors akin to the mineral itself #And in terms of build she very much resembles how I look in person too. You don't see an S/I like that all too often!#Once I watch more of the series I'll make a part two to this post detailing more character information on Mica #Such as her backstory... her personality... her abilities...#... and her one true love 💞

In the past few days, I've been hard at work designing a brand new self-insert for a video game franchise I've recently started to get back into thanks to a close friend of mine! The design of the S/I itself is about 95% done (All that's left is to make some final color changes and draw key art for him), and now I'm working on getting some backstory and facts written out for when I eventually unveil him. I am super excited to show this particular self-insert off!

As for what said video game franchise is... let's just say it's had a fast resurgence after a certain film released not too long ago 👀

Inspiration will strike at some point for a Mega Man self-insert #I absolutely ADORE the concept art I drew of this new S/I though #I think Psycha just might have some competition in regards to being the cutest self-insert I have...#... appropriate seeing as he may or may not also be a sheep #SHEEP SELF-INSERT UPRISING #... maybe. That ought to keep you on your toes whether or not I'm telling the truth!#The only other hint I'll give as to who this new self-insert is shall be this: his initials are CEL.#You'll find out his true identity soon enough... 👀

EVERYONE'S FAVORITE PLAGUE DOCTOR IN TRAINING HATH RETURNED!!!!!!! 💜🖤💜#It was almost a given that I'd eventually go back and redraw one of this blog's most iconic OCs in time for the Halloween season #Though seeing as I've since come out as transgender since I last drew Quinn... it only felt right to cook up a new look for her!#Quinn's design (Or previous design rather) is special in that it was mostly androgynous...#... though I've found that the changes I've made make it a little more apparent that she is a woman!#I also chose to specifically reference the pose from the first time I ever drew Quinn featuring the lantern stick from that specific drawin #Mostly because it's been a while since I drew her with her lantern... and because I wanted to show how far I've come!#Another design aspect I'm proud of is that she now more closely resembles what an ACTUAL plague doctor would look like #Prominently her more muted colors and era-accurate overcoat! I also gave her a cape because she looked so cool in one #Look out Patricia... there's a new caped doc in town!#It felt so good to draw Quinn again and I certainly see myself drawing her friends sometime in the near future!
