Sookie had to remain OBJECTIVE about her feelings because she hadn't known Sa for very long and didn't know everything that he had been through because he was a hunter. She knew that he and his brother worked in secret because the public wasn't ready to know everything that existed in the world. Vampires were one thing but demons and angels walking around were another. It would cause an uproar and she had already seen what that looked like because vampires took residence in their little town.

Sookie was grateful for people like them because they were willing to do what others couldn't. They put themselves in the line of fire and never even got a "thank you" because of it. But she also got where he was coming from with wanting to quit. At the end of the day, it was exhausting. Not just physically but mentally as well. She'd probably think about hanging up the hat, too.

A cross country hiking trip had been an impulsive and amazing idea, and Rose didn't regret it. Even when she was stuck sleeping somewhere in the woods under a crude shelter, the fae enjoyed her trip seeing all she'd missed for her time at home. It was a rather crisp night, and she was glad she'd remembered to pull on her grey windbreaker over her pale yellow jacket before venturing out into the backwoods town she'd decided to park herself in for the night.
