“Dandelionseed depository, long-haired man doing god’s work.” Tough work being so intimate with a dandelion whose dead seedy hairs work themselves out more easily than the human blowing on it. Plant-y little playthings, naturally. Caught between rungs on a fence, blowing the dandelion bits all over the yard you trespasser. The man is doing nature’s work, not god’s. Nature is doing god’s work and man’s. You cannot train this, it is well-concentrated play. Spinning, too, and tangling. Snapping ripe dead buds off the stem, made for any wind to disperse its fertile parts. Sprays and nothing left over. Now we twist in adult beds, instead of playing like children. “Twisted motley of bed sheets seeming as miniature as a diaper.”
