Worry Mall are a 6 person group from Sydney, Australia. They are produced, mixed and mastered by Owen Penglis (Straight Arrows). Members have been in many other bands - I think the only one that rings a bell with me is Disgusting People.

They formed three years ago and their Bandcamp page describes the music as combining the "attitude of early Guided By Voices with the introspective songwriting of bands such as Silver Jews and The Go-Betweens."

I love it when musicians are willing to shout out their influences.  First, everyone has influences, so no surprise there.  Second, it gives a window into what a musician listens to and values musically.The S-Bends are a band from Sydney, and their Bandcamp page states,

“The S-Bends sound echoes contemporary Australian favourites Dick Diver and the Ocean Party, indie crossover acts such as Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten, Drag City slacker rock, and the ever pervasive sound of 80s/90s Australian and New Zealand indie guitar music. Yet all of these are distilled into a sound that is distinctly theirs.”

“Kick The Scarf Volume 1″ is a compilation of Sydney (and New South Wales), Australia bands.  The only bands I’d previously heard are Straight Arrows and The S-Bends.  I have "Makin’ Tracks” on cassette and have frequently gone back time and a time to listen to the sweet languid sounds.

There are certainly a diversity of sounds - pop, dolewave, garage rock, rock, organ based pop....really this list could go on and on.  I’ve enjoyed the previously mentioned S-Bends and Crane Games most, but there is a lot to dig into here.
