st season 5 and some talking on the fandom right now lmao
i actually don't mind a lot of the season, there's some weird stuff, and I find the tone feels different (but that has varied before, 3 was a massive departure from 1 & 2) but I'm mostly holding off judgement until we get the end because the payoff really is going to determine my judgement here.
as for the fandom going insane because they've ruined everyone's ships (besides 1umax, who is perfect) b*lers gaslighted themselves into thinking anything different would happen. this was not queerbait. no showrunner ever teased them ending up together. the canon of the show doesn't support anything but a straight mike who's obsessed with eleven. there is nothing wrong with shipping it to be clear!!!!!! there are plenty of ships with less canon to go off! two friends with one who has canonical feelings is a TON, like go, be free, but stop lying to yourselves lol.
also if steve dies in the finale and the st3ddies party i need them to finally admit they have been jealous of hellcheer the entire time because they ARE and it's ANNOYING leave us ALONE and stop being bitter that we have Word of God. you have like a million shippers go talk to each other or are you sad that you built a ship off one line so you've run out of things to analyze?
