I don't have any solid proof but i suspect the Duffers have read a lot of books about body language and gave directions to Finn based on them because this expression Mike does with his eyebrows is very telling about what was going on with him in the van scene:

Finding very interesting that BvS is on the ST4 inspiration board. A film where Lois has a scene feeling inadequate in her relationship with Superman and it's seeking reassurance from him and he provides it.
In Stranger Things 4, Mike compares hlmself to Lois Lane, has the same feelings of inadequacy Lois showcases in this scene and seeks reassurance in his relationship with Superman from Will and he provides it.

I can't stop thinking about this post I made yesterday about Henry using Mike's jealousy of Angela against him, the Ron and Hermione-Byler parallels other bylers have found and the Duffers saying they've used HP for Inspiration before (for better or for worse)
And I find very interesting that in the first Deathly Hallows film, Ron is feeling jealous of Harry and Hermione's friendship and he's busy creating scenarios in his mind and the horcrux uses his insecurities against him.
This is the sequence:
I don't know, maybe i'm overthinking but they said they filmed in the Rink-O-Mania location for about a month, maybe it's not so far-fetched if they filmed something there for both Will and Mike's Vecna visions.
I'm aware that Mike's jealousy towards Angela is a subtle thing but i don't think they'd disregard it, especially because it gives context to Mike's behaviour.
BvS and ZSJL imply Lois was pregnant when she died at the batcave in a future timeline, giving an intense grief to Clark that made him unable to resist to the Anti-Life equation and then he became a slave of Darkseid.
(The Anti-Life equation was a transcendental mathematical formula originally said to allow those who knew it to dominate the will of any sentient race; this is the ultimate goal of Darkseid).
BvS is on the board for Stranger Things 4 and if the theory of "Will Byers being the Superman that landed on Mike's doorstep" is correct, then Mike "dying" after Will learns that his feelings are reciprocated would make him more susceptible to Henry's plans of controlling him.
Will even said it: "without heart, we fall apart".
In the films, Lois was the key to Superman's heart because she was his world.
In Stranger Things, Mike is the key to Will because he's his heart and he always will be.
