Someone cooks some mushrooms for New Year's Eve celebrations believing them to be straw mushrooms but in reality they were death cap mushrooms. The cook and his friends die after eating the meal. Lessons from this: (1) There is a reality (2) Our beliefs about this reality form the bases for our decisions & actions (3) Our actions & decisions have consequences. Our regard for truth have consequences. We need to expand our own regard for our circle of truth. There is no technical fix.
