so just curious any update of how the game is coming along?
Sorry for the late response! We are still making progress, it’s a lot of coding and writing and things that are unfortunately hard to track and display a final product of until the official launch, since we’re always rewriting and rewriting to make it the best it can be.
As far as art goes, our artist right now are working with our coders on getting assets together for character sprites, GUIs, and a functioning map so that we can put out the demo and make a huge leap in progress towards the actual game.

Something Simple September 2020 update:
Chapter 3 is approximately 1/3 complete. Due to being the largest of the 4 chapters, there’s still quite a bit to do for it.
Some assets for chapter 1 have been redone, and more still need to be, thus increasing the time until Something Simple is completed.
It is now 100% planned, beyond just a basic overview.
this just in: chapter 1 of something simple is 100% done!!
since this has never been stated before: there are 4 chapters in total, not counting the prologue, which means we’re like 20% done. however considering how much of finishing chapter 1 was finishing a lot of the most-used sprites, it’s probably more like 25-30%

besides a few art assets i’m down to only two routes left for chapter 1 of something simple
Been working on something simple again. i’ve gotten a significant portion done (in the sense that it was a lot to do, not that it’s a large percentage of the overall work. because it’s not)
so far 3 of the 7 versions of chapter 1 are completed, i redid a lot of assets that i just was not happy with, i’ve started on the 4th ver. of chapter 1, and i’ve hammered out some specific plot points/reveals and when/how they’ll happen, where as before i knew what chapter and the general idea of why, but not some of the specifics of it.
