Pro tip: in salmon run (next wave, I am not sure if this applies to s2), throwing a splat bomb stalls the crew wipe from happening until it explodes (adding about three seconds with sufficient air time), which might be enough to let a wave breaker run its course, or simply finish the wave.
so in the 9.0.0 update, under the Changes to Salmon Run heading, they allegedly added an item added that could be exchanged for fish scales (this is listed separately from the scales you can now get in capsules).
but i... cannot find it.... ?? has anyone found or used this unnamed item to exchange for fish scales, or has this just actually Not been implemented into the game yet
