thinking about pawn vicky again and how kind of different he is from the rest of the vicky/caled depictions but at the same time not rlly. i guess it's better to say that like. what aspect of him that gets emphasized is diff?
...mostly bc he doesn't have the same amount of "self-centered" drive that normal vicky has. but don't get me wrong imo he develops it over time but it isn't really the "same" as the rest since it would essentially be a more complicated version of the drive to protecc his charge (born out of that innate pawn sense of duty). plus i suppose in this case he'd be a bit driven more by jealousy* instead of the usual lust for power that canon vicky has.
plus considering the cosmological bs that dogma has it's pretty easy to come up with a "power-hungry character does x" thing but I don't think he'd care about it here specifically. (that being said if he was arisen instead of the cat then he would probably go through the same motions that rothais did ngl)
though i guess if u boil it down to "viktor is a selfish fuck" then he's still in line with the other depictions of him. except that what pawn viktor wants is a lot more compartamentalized (wants to protect but does so in a pretty paternalistic way) than the usual delusions of grandeur that normal vicky gets
*jealousy towards others; i wouldn't think he'd angst over being a pawn but he'd kind of grow increasingly weird/sus towards the cat's relationships w/ others. he'd also be aware enough to hold back from being outright nasty to people that he doesn't want around though. it'd make his cat sad after all (until he gets plagued ig)
caved in and bought a bog standard corset belt from sh*pee because I really needed something to cover the shirring on one of the fully shirred atepi skirts that i got and i'm kind of glad and also frustrated that it. works
downside is that it makes my boobs look huge. u win some u lose some i guess grrrrghghghg
