S/N - sibling name, C/N - cousin name, Y/N - your name
You were excited to see Romin/Wonhyuk today but unfortunately, your plans got a little messed up. In this case, it was your parents asking you to babysit your younger sibling/cousin.
Pulling out your phone, you messaged Romin/Wonhyukâs number. I donât think Iâll be able to make it today, I have to babysit my sibling/cousin. You waited a few minutes before your phone dinged. Okay, see you soon. He must be planning to come over then.
Romin:
Babysitting your sibling wasnât the worst thing honestly, they were old enough to take care of themselves but they still needed a little bit of supervision. A while later, you were sitting watching your sibling work on a project when the doorbell rang. Opening the door, you saw Romin standing on the other side. âYou really didnât have to come, itâs okay!â
âNo no, I wanted to see you and why not meet your sibling too.â Stepping back to let him in, you led him back to where your sibling was working. âS/N,why donât you take a break to hang out for a little bit.â
âIs this you boyfriend?â
âAh yes, Iâm Romin. Itâs nice to finally meet you.â
âIâve heard a lot about you.â Romin laughed awkwardly before your sibling continued, âItâs really only been good things, I promise.â
After introducing them and them becoming less awkward, the three of you gathered on the couch. âWhat do you want to do today?â
âYou mentioned Romin likes Marvel movies and I missed the recent one that came out, maybe we could go watch that.â
After buying the tickets, the three of you settled together with you in the middle. Romin held your hand next to his leg as the lights dimmed.
âThat was awesome! Especially the one scene where they shot from below and changed the angle progressively to show the action.â You watched as your sibling gushed about the movie and your boyfriend joined in.
âI know, it was really well done.â Walking between the two, you watched the pair go back and forth with heated excitement about the parts they liked and didnât like. Laughing at their energy, you slipped your hand into Rominâs with a soft smile.
You decided to interrupt before it got too late for you to ever get a word into their chatter. âDo you guys want to go shopping? Iâm sure Romin would mind helping you pick some new outfits, S/N.â
Their expression lit up even more as they looked at you two. âWait, really?! Can we?â
Romin shrugged, âI donât see why not.â With that, your sibling took off skipping a few steps ahead of you before turning back.
âThank you so much! Iâve been trying to reorganize my closet for so looonnggg.â You could practically already picture how this trip would go. The three of you choosing the most random clothes in between searching for good outfits, laughing at each otherâs âmodeling,â and just fooling around together until you found something S/N would really like. You fully trusted Romin would be able to help them without fail.
Wonhyuk:
Watching your younger cousin run around the playground, you made sure they didnât hurt themselves. They ran over to you, calling your name. âCome play with me!â They pulled your hand before you laughed and tucked your phone away. Letting them drag you, you followed to the swing set before helping them on to the swing.
After a while of pushing them on the swing, you noticed someone approaching you. It was Won Hyuk carrying a soccer ball. You smiled and waved, gently stopping the swing with your cousin. They jumped off before running over to Won Hyuk with you following close behind. Your cousin latched onto Won Hyukâs leg as they reached him. âHyuk, are you going to play with me?â
He teased lightly as he patted your cousinâs head. âYup, your cousin said you wanted to see me more than them.â Passing the ball to your cousin, they let go and he approached you. âI hope you donât mind me stealing your time with your cousin.â
âNot at all, I may be able to manage their energy now.â
Turning back to your cousin, Won Hyuk kneeled down to their eye level. âHow does a game of soccer sound, Y/N can be our referee.â Your cousin bounced on their heels.
âYes please!â Speeding off again, they ran to the field by the jungle gym. âHurry up Y/N, I wanna play now.â Grabbing your hand, Won Hyuk took off after C/N dragging you laughing behind him.
âYeah Y/N, youâre too slow.â Won Hyuk teased. The two stood off across from each other as you set the ball between them.
âDo you both know the rules?â The both nodded as your cousin playfully glared at Won Hyuk. âAlright, the game starts in 3⌠2⌠1⌠GO!â
Your cousin ran at the ball as Won Hyuk moved slowly to give them a head start. They passed him and kicked the ball toward their made-up goal. Won Hyuk stepped in front of it and trapped it with his foot. Kicking it forward, he jogged to the otherside of the field with your cousin right behind. Nudging the ball forward, he let them steal the ball back. Racing past, your cousin laughed before calling to him. âIâm going to beat you if you canât keep up.â
Won Hyuk turned back around, trying to catch up to them. âNo you wonât!â He stepped in front of your cousinâs path to the goal. They kicked the ball and he dove for it, intentionally missing. Pretending to be shocked, he looked at their gleeful face and you laughing behind them. âOh no, how did I miss that?â
âC/N scores!â You paused to catch your breath from laughing so much before continuing. âC/N scores and they win the game!â
Won Hyuk picked up your giggling cousin, spinning in celebration, âWow, you won!â You fondly watched the pair laughing and smiling before picking up the ball. Won Hyuk set your cousin down and they clung to you.
âY/N, is it time to go yet?â You checked the time before grinning down at them.
âNot just yet, I think we have time for one more game.â You set the ball back down where it was and prepared yourself for another round of soccer.

âGet up,â Hongjoongâs voice cut into Esperanza ears. He was silent for a time before Esperanza heard him move. Suddenly, his voice came from directly beside her, âI know youâre awake, so get up.â
Esperanza slowly rose from the bed and stood. Hongjoong grabbed her upper arm before walking quickly out of the room. He struggled against the girlâs weight as she planted her feet.
âWhere the hell are you trying to take me,â her face tilted to glower at the man in front of her. Her feet slid roughly against the carpet as Hongjoong slowly began to overpower her.
âYou and your friend have some questions to answer since you decided not to tell us everything.â Esperanza felt herself being forced down the hallway before she reached what seemed to be a dining room. Artemisia already sat with her head resting on the table. A quiet groan escaped the girl before she lifted her head.
âWhy the fuck did you feel the need to wake me up this early?â A snort escaped Yeosang before he turned to Hongjoong. Esperanza felt her shoulders being pressed down before she was forced to sit in the chair next to Artemisia. Yeosang spoke as Esperanza shifted closer to Artemisia.
âThis one doesnât seem too inclined to answer anything right now.â
âEsperanza.â Hongjoong caught Esperanza leaning toward her partner from the corner of his vision. âDonât even try it, you two.â
âHey, Hongjoong, can I talk to you really quick? I may have found something.â A new voice came from behind the pair at the table before they turned to see the newcomer. A tall woman with red hair stood in the doorway, staring urgently at Hongjoong. âItâs kinda important.â
Hongjoong looked at Yeosang before the other male nodded. He turned back to the mysterious girl, âAlright, make it quick.â
Esperanza watched as Hongjoong followed the unfamiliar woman out of the room. Artemisia elbowed her side before Esperanza turned her attention back towards Yeosang lingering on the other side of the table.
âWhich one of you is the one who hacked the camera systems yesterday?â The pair glanced at each other before simultaneously questioning Yeosang.
âWhat do you mean?â The pairâs confused expressions mirrored each other. Esperanza panicked slightly as she was forced to remember the threats she received briefly after she broke into the Lee Enterprise building. They had said something about always watching her, waiting to do something to her. Or the people around her.
âI usually handle software and stuff but there was no registered CCTV at that building. What do you mean someone hacked the system?â Esperanza explained. If there were cameras there and someone hacked them, it could put both her and Artemisia in danger, along with anyone seen with them. âWho hacked the system? What did they see?â
âWhy does it matter to you who did? You two were the only other ones there so it had to have been one of you.â
This time it was Artemisia glaring at Yeosang. âWhat part of what she said didnât make sense? It wasnât us, we didnât even know about there being cameras. Why donât you just tell us who did it?â She hissed. Yeosang stalked closer to the table before being stopped by Hongjoong reappearing in the doorway.
âYeosang, stop.â He moved to sit across from the two girls. âWhat do you two know about Lee Enterprises?â Yeosangâs eyes widened before he whispered sharply to Hongjoong.
âWhat are you doing? What are you implying? Do they have to do with this?â
âIâm implying that Lee Enterprises hacked into the cameras of the gala building during our hit.â Hongjoong placed his hands on the table before leaning closer to the girls in front of him. âAnd they seemed very interested in following what you two were doing. How are you connected to them?â
Esperanza sighed before looking at Artemisia. âI think we need to tell them about how we met.â She turned her head to look back at the two men watching the duo. âWhen I was younger, my sister Lacey got really sick. â
Esperanza looked up at her parents whispering outside her sisterâs bedroom. It was unusual for them to keep any secrets from either of them. âMom? Dad? I donât understand? Whatâs going on? Why did you- why did you call a doctor? Is there something wrong?â
Her mother quickly turned, blocking the young girlâs view into her sisterâs room. âEzie, sweetie, nothing is wrong, youâre sister is just feeling a little sick. Sheâll be alright soon.â
âAt first, I really did believe them.â
As the years progressed and the two sisters grew, Esperanza realized that something wasnât quite right with her sister. She was always out with one of their parents while the other one was with Esperanza to take her to her clubs and activities. She was forced into activities she had no interest in until they found something that stuck. It seemed almost as if they were trying to distract her from Laceyâs condition. It wasnât until she reached high school that Esperanza realized how much her parents kept them separated. Her parents didnât ask her to join clubs or activities she no longer found interesting, but Esperanza still found herself barely home. Esperanza worked as hard as she could in school, even if it was just her first year, and oftentimes found herself staying late after school to help with clubs or at the library studying. Esperanza realized when she arrived home on the rare days she didnât stay out working, her younger sister was often passed out, asleep, in random places throughout the house. Thinking back, the young teen found that lately, it seemed her sister lacked the energy she used to have when they were younger. Was something wrong? Why didnât her parents say anything?
So Esperanza confronted her parents. She heard them in the living room one night, talking about how they were going to be able to afford continuing to âlive like this.â Esperanza didnât understand. They may not have been very rich, but her family was well-off enough they could afford a little comfort in their lives. Stepping from around the corner, she silently approached the couch.
âMom? Dad?â
Her parents froze in shock briefly before turning to their young teenage daughter in the doorway. âYes dear?â
âCan I ask you a question?â The young girl hesitated. No, that wasnât good enough, she needed to be more specific. âIf I ask you a question, do you promise to answer it honestly and seriously? No matter what it is?â
âOf course honey, what is it?â Her parents seemed skittish at her appearance. Her motherâs hands shifted with the edge of her sweater before Esperanzaâs father grabbed her hands to still her hands.
âWhat is wrong with Lacey?â
âEsperanza, weâve told you, nothing is wrong. Your sister just has a lot to do and gets tired at the end of the day.â
âAt that point, I definitely suspected something was wrong. A few months later, my suspicions were proven corrected.â
Turning as quietly as possible, Esperanza turned the door knob slightly before gently closing the office door behind her. A clock on the desk flashed 12:45 AM.
Slipping slightly on her socks, Esperanza gripped the edge of a chair. Exhaling a soft breath, she tiptoed forward before reaching the edge of her fatherâs desk. Reaching for the belt of her shorts, Esperanza clicked on a pen light.
Sliding out the drawers, Esperanza found multiple different files. None of them were the ones she was looking for.
A groan of frustration left Esperanza before something flashed across her room. Sitting on the edge of the desk was a manila folder, the corner of reflective film sheet peeking out of it. Esperanza opened the file and almost immediately dropped it.
Her parents had been lying to her.
Lacey was sick. She had been for a while. And Esperanza had no idea the whole time how bad it actually was.
Footsteps echoed in the hall. Panicking, Esperanza hurriedly shoved the papers back into the folder before setting it back on the desk. Her hair whipped wildly as she tried to find a place to hide.
Slamming the chair back, she forced herself under the desk before yanking it back. The steps echoed close to the office door, pausing momentarily.
Esperanza held her breath as a shadow passed under the door. It turned and the footsteps faded away down toward her sisterâs room.
Esperanza sighed and uncurled herself before standing and going to hide by the door. She pressed her ear to the door and listened to the eerie quiet filling the house. A few minutes later, the steps came and went again with the sound of a door closing.
Esperanza slowly opened the door and peaked out before slipping through the doorway. She ran quietly on her tiptoes back to her room. Her hand slipped on the door knob of her room as she struggled to open it. Finally, she turned it and slid into her room.
âIt turns out our parents were running out of money and couldnât afford as many treatments as they used to and at this point, I donât think they would have helped anyway. A few months later, they disappeared without leaving anything behind beside our inheritances. It still wasnât enough for Laceyâs medicine and treatments so I had to find ways to pay for her treatments. I started stealing information for hire.â
âThen one day, I got a job, but this one. This one was different. It was on back channels on the dark web. But it wasnât a usual channel. It was encrypted with a firewall that would take months for a supercomputer to break and required an invitation code, which somehow sent personally to my âday jobâ. Whoever it was didnât want to be found. They wanted to hack into Lee Enterprises mainframe and then steal files on someone named Lee Seunghoon.â Hongjoong inhaled sharply at the name.
âHold on, someone hired you to steal files on Lee Seunghoon?â Hongjoong anxiously glanced between the two girls.
âYes. I destroyed their system firewalls but when I got into the system, the files werenât there anymore. There were traces of digital sabotage in the digital files. It was irreparable, the file itself had been corrupted by someone from the outside. I couldnât even trace who did it. The only clean copies of the files were the original paper copies. So I needed to get into Lee Entreprises file storage. I hacked the security systems of their main headquarters and broke in. I couldnât find the files because many things seemed to have been damaged in a fire. It looked almost intentional. I didnât have time to investigate any further, their systems were coming back online. I had to get out of there as quickly as possible.â Esperanza looked over at Artemisia watching her with caution.
âHowever what I didnât know was that I didnât cover my tracks well enough and Lee Enterprises soon discovered what I had done. They hired someone to kill me,â Artemisia grabbed Esperanzaâs arm gently before Esperanza glanced down to her partnerâs hand and shook her head softly. âArtemisia saved me. After that, we formed a duo to survive together.â
Esperanza looked back up at the men in front of her. âI didnât know what Lee Enterprises was until a few months ago. After I found out who they truly were, I fully realized the extent of what I had done. Every week, a new threat would appear wherever we lived. No matter where we moved, or how quickly, they always found us. However, once we accepted the gala hit, the one where you kidnapped us, they just stopped. The threats disappeared almost instantly.â
Esperanza slowly removed Artemisiaâs hand from her arm. âIâm afraid that you all may be in danger if they find out you have me here. If you let me go, they may leave you alone. However, you must promise to protect Artemisia if I leave. She never was the target of their threats, but her background from her childhood makes her a target for âaggressive recruitmentâ.â
âEsperanza, no. You promised when we teamed up that we would survive together. If you go, I go with you.â Artemisia pleaded with her partner. Esperanza protected her by not telling Hongjoong and Yeosang the full story, but that also could put the two of them at risk. If ATEEZ found out she had been hired by Lee Enterprises to kill Esperanza, they may kill Artemisia or force her onto the streets, alone.
âNo, neither of you are leaving. Not until we know everything that you know. And everything we need to know about you.â Hongjoong looked at Esperanza, scanning her face. âWhat did you find about Lee Sunghoon?â
âJust that he was the son of the CEO of Lee Enterprises, who also happens to be the leader of the Lee family mafia. It said he was killed in a freak car accident a few years ago.â
âGood, they donât know then.â Esperanza jumped when Yeosang spoke. He had been so quiet when she was talking, Esperanza had forgotten he was even there. âBriar did a better job than we originally thought.â
âThey donât know what? Whoâs Briar?â
âThat Lee Sunghoon is alive, and with us.â Hongjoong spoke in a hushed tone as Yeosang came to stand behind him. Esperanzaâs head whipped back to face Hongjoong.
âLee Sunghoon is alive?!â
Silently, Yeosang sat beside Hongjoong, facing the women. Yeosang looked down at the pair watching him carefully. âYes, he is here now,â Artemisia examined Yeosangâs face. Something about his features was familiar, a vague recollection of an older, deadly man hunting her down for a job he considered vital.
Small fic for the evil Joxter au, which is good and i love it.
Snufkin finally meeting his demon dad (again).
Some light angst, but otherwise its just a small oneshot of the them meeting and Snufkin being emotional and overjoyed about it.
Also we stan good dad Joxter in this house hold and that is final.
Written in third pov but told (mostly) from Snufkins view
On AO3
Joxk*n and abusive Joxter supporters do not interact.
Snufkin stared at the man before him.
Or, thing, really.
Not a man, though, definitely not.
A figure, taller than him but not by too much. With curly black hair and a scruffy face and a dirty red hat atop his head.
A hat very much like Snufkins own.
His eyes were watching the young half mimrik, scanning over him many times over. Bright blue irises with cat like slits for pupils, Snufkin was quickly reminded of a predator staring down at its prey.
But for some reason he wasn't on edge. He didn't feel any need to act defensive, to raise his hackles and spit and hiss at this creature. In fact, Snufkin felt rather... calm, and happy, which was odd. Like he had finally found something after having lost it for a very long time.
Shadows curled and whisped around the beings feet, almost like a thick fog. His tail, a slim yet fluffy one like a black cats, curled loosely around his lower leg.
He's nervous
But why was he nervous? Surely Snufkin was the one who should be on edge, standing only a couple feet from a creature he knew he couldn't fight against.
But his own tail was relaxed, the end flicking occasionally.
They stood like that for some time, just staring at each other. Snufkin couldn't really see the others face well, even with his night eyes. It was like the shadow casted by the red hat was purposefully concealing it, leaving only a vague outline of his features and those bright eyes to be visible.
"Well," The being finally said, or rumbled as his voice was deep, "This clearly isn't getting us anywhere..."
Snufkin had to agree considering they had basically been in a staring contest for the last ten minutes at least. But he was still watching the being, his curiosity sudden piqued even more.
That voice sounded familiar somehow.
"Do I...know you?"
That got a small gravelly laugh out of the other, and his head nodded twice. "Yes, though i'm sure you don't remember me, as you were incredibly young the last time I showed myself to you."
Well that was awfully cryptic. Â
Snufkin tilted his head, once again looking the other up and down. He knew this person, he was sure of that, but couldn't remember who they were exactly. The image of someone cooing down at him flashed in his mind, and he could almost hear a faint rumbling purr with it, but the scene was gone as soon as it had appeared.
"Who are you?" Snufkin asked, because by now the annoyance of knowing but not knowing at the same time was agitating him.
The creature stared at him a moment more, seeming to debate something with himself. Until finally, he sighed, and reached up to take his hat off and bowed forward a little, smiling softly, watching Snufkin with a great intensity.
"I am the Joxter, your father."
Snufkin stared at him. He knew very well his breath hitched at seeing that scruffy face for the first (no- second, maybe third, he thought) time.
That was his father.
How he knew that, Snufkin wasn't sure, but he knew it to be true. His father, without a doubt in his mind.
Joxter looked at him with the saddest, softest smile a demon could make, and his heart clenched.
"It's alright if you don't remember me, Snufkin. You were very small the last time you saw me, I wouldn't be surprised if you cant remember."
But Snufkin COULD remember, now that he saw his face.
The scene from before came back to him, just clearer now. The Joxters face smiling down at him, teeth sharp and eyes crinkled from smiling so wide. He had poked him carefully on the nose with his paw, eyes full of delight as baby Snufkin squealed happily. He cooed down at the bab, and a purr coming from his throat.
The Joxter in front of him however, looked somewhat sadder by the passing second, and Snufkin realized that even if he accepted the fact Snufkin most likely didn't remember him, he was still upset about it.
He moved to place his hat back atop his head, a solemn but understanding look in his bright eyes.
"It's alright Snufkin, why don't you head back to the Moomin families home now, its getting rather late-"
"Papa..."
The Joxter stopped. He looked down at the young half mimrik with wide eyes, tail now swaying behind him in surprise.
Snufkins bottom lip quivered, eyes beginning to fill with wet tears.
"Papa!"
He opened his arms, starting to run the small distance between them, crying now.
"Papa! Papa!"
Joxter met him halfway, tossing his hat on the ground and quickly scooping his son into his arms and hugging him close, quietly shushing him.
"Papa! Papa papa!"
Snufkin buried his face in his fathers shoulder, crying as the Joxter began rubbing circles in his back to in a attempt comfort him.
"Yes little one, Papas here, Papaâs here, its alright now"
Normally Snufkin wasn't one for tears.
He didn't cry often, if at all really, but the suddenness of having family again, of having his father again, hit him like a brick and he latched onto the demon without a moments hesitation.Â
Joxter continued shushing and cooing at him, resting his head against Snufkin's own and swaying them just slightly. His shadows settled on the ground around his feet, lazy once again now that the full demon wasn't anxious anymore.
It took some time, but slowly Snufkin's cries turned into hiccups, and finally to sniffles. He still clung to his papa, somewhat scared he would disappear if he let go.
If the Joxter noticed, he only acknowledged it by squeezing the younger one again.
Standing in the kitchen illuminated in golden rays, you began to pull out the ingredients for the recipe. Reaching for the final ingredient, you closed the fridge behind you before turning back to the counter. You jumped slightly as a soft warmth came across your shoulders and a white blanket draped down your arms. Your shoulders loosened as someone nuzzled into the base of your neck as you are squeezed to their chest.
âMorning Hoyoung, did you finally decide to wake up?â A soft groan escaped you. Hoyoungâs mouth before he pressed a gentle kiss over the sore marking on your neck. The blanket slipped off your shoulders and Hoyoung let go of your waist to pull it back up.
âIt was boring without you,â he whined. His hand grabbed your wrist to turn you away from your cooking preparations. Burying himself back into your neck, he slowly pulled from the kitchen.
âHoyoung, I have to make breakfast.â You laughed, heart warming from his clinging. His head lifted from your neck as Hoyoung tugged your arm more.
âCome on, breakfast can wait.â You sighed before giving in, if you didnât he would start pouting and then you would never be able to say no.
âAlright, just let me put everything back.â After a quick cleanup, you found yourself once again burrowed under the fluffy covers of your bed. Within seconds of you laying down, Hoyoung had latched his arms around you and pulled as close to him as he could. Once again, he nuzzled his nose against your skin and breathed in.
âI still canât believe youâre all mine.â Hoyoung whispered against your neck before feathering soft kisses along the skin he could reach. His chest rose softly before he closed his eyes and let himself slip back to a gentle relaxation. You trailed your fingers up and down Hoyoungâs back in soothing lines, forcing him to snuggle into you even closer. Soon enough, you feel the soft tendrils of sleep begin to pull you back into your dreams to meet him. Hoyoung watched your expression relax and traced your nose carefully before pulling you to rest on his chest. Finally, you were marked as his forever.
Summary: Having a boyfriend, rather finacè, that you couldnât even openly talk about was a bit of a struggle, to say the least. Especially if he happens to be a young upstart Co-CEO with you as his secretary. It only gets worse when he experiences a jealous streak.
As far as staff meetings go, this had to be one of the most boring by far, and the incessant not-so-subtle flirting from the coworker beside you did not help. At all. You glanced at your friend Raven to your left before gently kicking her shin to get her attention. From the plea for assistance on your features, she looked behind you to your coworker and realized just from the not friendly look on their face exactly what was happening. A snicker escaped past her lips before she leaned slightly to whisper in your ear.
âHow much do you want to bet that your fiancè is gonna snap this time?â
âRaven! Thatâs not helping!â Won hyuk gazed over his shoulder at the two of you, his attention drawn from the presentation by your harsh whisper. Quirking an eyebrow in question, he looked between the two of you. Not wanting to distract him, or risk him actually having a jealous outburst, you waved your hand back toward the front to shoo him back to paying attention. Raven snorted at your attempts to focus the young CEO across from you. Jamming your elbow into her side, you glared at your friend.
âAlright alright, jeez, that hurt.â Raven huffed under her breath before shaking her head at Wonhyuk. The two of you turned back to your notes and tried to narrow your focus back to the presentation again.
However, that didnât last long. The few minutes you spent ignoring your oblivious and rather forward coworker did nothing to dissuade their efforts. If anything, it encouraged them, the flirtatious looks and increasingly inappropriate remarks continued to rise.
Now that he had already been distracted, Won hyuk found himself struggling to stay focused with the briefing. He caught himself repetitively stealing subtle glances over his shoulder at you. Not that he would ever mention anything about this, but seeing you working like this made his heart beat a little harder as his face gained a soft red tint. He didnât know how, but you still affected him in the simplest ways, even now. Especially now.
Won hyukâs blush quickly evaporated though. Your nuisance of a coworker had made the mistake of sliding closer to you, his hand now inches from where you worked to scribe important details. Realizing the decreased proximity between the two of you, you shifted, pulling at the edge of your shirt before trying to pull yourself closer to Raven, anything for an escape from the uncomfortable approaches. Won hyukâs jaw tightened as he noticed what was happening.
A soft almost growl escaped from his throat as his gazed hardened on your coworker. âHey, asshole, that's enough,â lethal edge in his low tone, enough to shake their attention off of you.
âWhatâs it matter to you?â
Any control Won hyuk may have previously had over his composure snapped. âIt matters to me that youâre harassing my secretary in the middle of a staff meeting. Instead of flirting with my fiancèe, you should be focusing on now coming up with any reason I shouldnât fire you.â Turning his chair fully to face the now terrified worker, his voice came with a dangerous warning. âI would work quickly if I were you.â
Catching the tense atmosphere between the two, Yongseop slapped his hand across Wonhyukâs leg as you kicked his shin under the table, your own glare directed toward him now. âOw, what the hell was that for?â
âGet yourself together, Iâm sure you scared them enough by now.â Raven, who was already barely containing herself before, suddenly burst out into a fit of laughter before both you and Yongseop turned a vicious fiery pair of scowls upon her.
âOkay okay, fine, Iâll stop.â She slowly calmed herself down before Yongeop turned back to the shocked, and mortified, presenters.
âI apologize for the interruption. Before we begin again, first, I must ask that no words of what happened here escapes this room. Is that clear?â Swallowing heavily, they glanced between themselves and the two CEOs before hesitantly nodding. âThen, please, continue.â With a few nervous glances and stumbles on their words, the briefing began again. Taking one last chance to tease you before you were fully absorbed back into the meeting, Raven mumbled into your ear.
âI bet seeing him like that and actually jealous was hot, you doing okay? Think youâll still be able to focus?â Blood rushed to your face as you once again elbowed your friend.
âRaven! Please just focus!â Looking down at you paper, you muttered one last phrase you hoped she would catch. âItâs bad enough as it is already. It will only be worse later.â When Raven giggled softly at that, you understood then that she had, in fact, heard you.
âWhat, are you scared heâs gonna do something?â As if your embarrassment couldnât get any worse, Raven continued teasing you until you almost couldnât take it anymore. You felt as though it was growing warmer and warmer until you were almost certain there had to be steam rising from your cheeks. Taking in your flustered state, struggling to even write, she finally let up on the playful jabs and remarks, allowing you some time to settle and cool down. With your focus now dedicated once again back to the meeting, time passed a lot quicker and before you knew it, the briefing was ending.
Taking the first opportunity of escape, you ran out as soon as you could, shocking both Raven and Wonhyuk with your quick exit. Reaching your own office, you quickly shut the door before sinking into your chair with a drawn-out whine. âI canât believe that just happened.â Closing your eyes, you rested your hands on your forehead, trying to massage out new oncoming stress. If the Board of Chairs, or even his parents found out about what happened, you both could be in some serious trouble. As if on cue, your phone buzzed in your pocket.
Sighing, you fished it out before staring at the lock screen. It was a text from Wonhyuk. âWe can talk when we go home, everything will be fine, I promise.â Swiveling your chair around, you looked across the way to Wonhyukâs office. He was staring at you from behind his desk and once he caught your gaze, he gave a soft smile. A gentle comfort that helped assuage your worries, you found yourself giving him a smile back.
Yeah, maybe everything would be alright in the end.

A golden glow cast softly over the sheets. Unintelligible voices speak from the abandoned movie as Y/N lays with Yuchan. Their hands soft as they knot together, like a string of fate tying them together. A communication of souls with no words. Silence lays upon them like the soft blankets covering their crinkling eyes and pink gilded cheeks.
Surrounded by warmth, in the comfort of the embrace of someone they loved, Y/N spoke with words gentle as a summer breeze, âCan we stay here a while?â
With the seasons changing, the temperature began to drop quickly. As the outside grew colder, so did your room to match it. But when faced with a problem, sometimes youâve got to improvise a solution. Which, this time, happened to be your boyfriend. Your werewolf boyfriend.
âGyehyeonâ your voice pitched slightly to a whine at the chill. âIâm cold, can we cuddle please?â
The young male laughed at the childish tone of your request. âOf course, come here,â he picked up a blanket and opened his arms.
âCan I cuddle your wolf form actually?â You whispered hesitantly, slightly embarrassed at your own request.
âIâm sorry, what was that,â a teasing lily came from his voice.
You sighed before speaking louder, âCan I cuddle your wolf form? Itâs warmer and really soft. Please?â
âAlright turn around.â Complying with his request, you turned your back to Gyehyeon until you felt the dappled texture of his snout bump your hand before he pushed his head up against your side.
Your fingers threaded gently through the soft fluff around his ears before giving them a slight scratch. Gyehyeonâs ears twitched slightly before he let out a soft rumble of happiness. He bumped his head against your waist, guiding you to bed. Taking the hint, you jumped up on top of the covers before Gyehyeon soon followed.
Snuggling up slightly into a ball, you reached for the fur of Gyehyeonâs torso and gave it a gentle tug. He huffed lightly before circling around you a few times and curling around you. Turning on your side slightly, you rubbed your cheeks into his fuzz. Almost immediately, your body reacted to the warmth radiating from him. âMy personal space heater.â With your face buried in his fur, your words were muffled, but you figured he understood when a sound akin to a laugh vibrated from his chest. One hand traced his spine up to his head where you gave the space between his ears a light pat, his ears tilting gently in relaxation to the side to allow for you to pet the fur along his head and neck. Nuzzling yourself further into his coat, you closed your eyes as you began to relax against him.
Fur brushed gently against your leg and you looked down to see his tail swishing lightly. You giggled before looking up at his slender face, âI take it youâre enjoying this too.â His snout wrinkled slightly in mock disgust but you could tell by the way he curled around you tighter that he loved this as much as you.
