9. Favorite decade in terms of music

"Okay, no, Taemin wants a party at the soccer field. It’s the perfect place. We can run around and have lots of fun without worrying about making a mess."

Kibum stares Minho down over stacks of invitations and party hats, over catering menus, purple plates and cake designs.

And then, with a single, flawless eye-roll, he shoots his husband down with a swift, “no way in hell.”

Minho scowls, making a noise in the back of his throat that Kibum knows is akin to his many frustrations. “Why the hell not?”

"Because he’s turning one and probably won’t be running around to cause a mess? Plus, it’s fucking July? Are you an idiot?” He turns back to his laptop, swinging it around to face the taller man. “We should have it at home. These people here come and deliver bounce houses and party supplies; our backyard is plenty big for it. Plus, we have air conditioning.”

"Bounce houses?" Minho repeats, incredulously. "He’s one."

Kibum scoffs. “Yes, I’m well aware.”

They seem to be at a stalemate. They’ve planned everything out, every detail but this with no arguments and it was going so, so well. But Minho’s hard to move, Kibum knows, and their shared stubbornness makes for a rough spot every now and then.

It’s a good thing Kibum’s learned just how to push Minho’s buttons. “I wonder what sex in a bounce house is like.”

If Minho was a dog, his ears would be perked up right about now.
