SquareTrade might be a great warranty company but they are so extra.
I gave them a call because my headphone jack is busted and because hopefully they’ll decide it’s too much of a hassle to fix and refund my policy and then I can get a better computer with no wasted money
and I had to keep pausing during the conversation, thinking, “I just said that the headphone jack was crackling, right? I didn’t accidentally say that the crackling of the headphone jack killed my dog and salted my fields barren, right?”
Literally every sentence they speak begins with an oozingly sincere “I’m so sorry this is happening to you, don’t worry, we’re here for you... can I have your model number?”
One of the weirder customer service calls I’ve been on.
