Picked up some extra strength Cepacol after lunch so that’s definitely helping sooth my throat. Hope you get over the crud you caught soon!

Oh dear! I’m still very new to this, but I got my marimo from tinyterrains on etsy. She does terrarium kits for them, but I went with the option to just get some marimo and put together a jar myself. I’m not sure the exact size of the jar, I got it from walmart and removed the sticker from the bottom and it doesn’t seem to have that detail etched anywhere, but comparing it to my tervis mug I’d say it’s probably between 20-24oz. I’m using filtered water since I read that that’s better recommended for their health than tap water, and I plan to change it once a week or so and cleaning them off when I do that as recommended. I also tossed in a couple ice cubes when I set it up today, and intend to do that every once in a while if the office seems warm since they live naturally in cooler waters. The pebbles are from the aquarium section at walmart, and I rinsed them to cut down on dust particles before adding to the jar like I’d do with an aquarium for fish. There’s also no concern about direct sunlight at my desk.

Yeah THAT was the first thing I spotted actually? Like I saw that and went “oh so this is a fairly recent.... wait.....”

Funny thing, I also was looking at my DW tonight. Haven’t really done anything with it since archiving my LJ account over to there so definitely a blast from the past. Any recs? 

I get that they don’t need to export their entertainment stuff to stay afloat, but I just can’t get a handle on why they wouldn’t want the extra cash. Thankfully I don’t come across too much of that with tokusatsu, just this one individual seller on Y!A. So very “sonno joi” gatekeepy.

Heck I can only even think of one indie bookstore in DC that I’m aware of, and I think it mostly focuses on politics/non-fiction works? Which isn’t exactly what I go to for literary escapism. Nor is it terribly realistic to plan a trip into DC every time I want a book.
