Even the weather is like the set of one of those very sad and sappy romantic movies, it doesn’t stop raining and, curiously, Kurt is currently watching one of those movies. 

Kurt raises his eyebrows and says nothing, the person he least expected to see behind that door -but the one he hopes the most- is Natasha. He doesn’t know what to say, though. 

He opens his mouth and babbles something then he can’t help but laugh at himself. 

“Sorry, I mean...” He scratches the back of his head. “It’s okay.” 

Did she say she can’t stop thinking about me?” 

“Please, come in.” 

“Ouch, you mother-hubbard!” Despite having been one of the ones healed after Ultron’s attack, Spider-Man was still in a bit of pain and out of it. He would not feel like himself again immediately it seems. There was relief and sorrow in the air as Peter stood back up, looking around.

Ultron had been defeated by being struck right through a portal into an empty universe, that was the good news. However sadly, the bad news was that Black Widow had been killed by Ultron and was unable to be revived. Peter imagined that was hard for those here that had known her. 

Spider-Man hadn’t known her personally, so he was simply saddened by recent events. Before he could make a single movement, his Spider-Sense went off as someone appeared in front of him all of a sudden. “What the f#@k!? Where did you come from!? Are you aligned with Ultron!?”

“Not true. I can just go through you.“

Dane wasn’t losing himself. He wasn’t going mad. That’s what he kept repeating in his head, the mantra keeping himself together. But his uncle had been summoned up from Hell, and Dane wasn’t going to let him go.

The Avengers weren’t getting in his way.

“Don’t look at me then,” 

He drops his gaze. He doesn’t know what else to say. 

His heart is racing fast, his hands are cold. 

He swallows tight and looks away. He can’t stare at Natasha right now, he does his best in focusing on the scraps and dirty spots of the nearest wall. 

But I am a monster. 

That’s what they said. 

That’s what he has burnt at the back of his brain, in those scars and, in the darkest corners of his mind.
