Culled my skittish boy Sprizen today. He will be tonight's dinner.
I basically cleaned him up like you would a whole quail and now i have him sitting in some salty ice water in the fridge while i figure out what i want for dinner.
He had some very healthy organs and is pretty meaty despite his age. Most cockerels his age from my line are much more scrawny but im pretty pleased my birds were able to produce him. I hope to select for a bigger breast as time goes on.
