Still writing every day for No Skip November, yay! Yesterday I discovered a nifty little writing sprint bot for Discord and have been trying that out, which is strangely helpful so far.
I think the biggest benefit for me is having a structured way to sit down and say 'the next X minutes are for writing and nothing else,' and be (gently) held accountable at the end. No getting distracted for two hours scrolling tumblr or chatting or being interrupted by other members of my household.
And it's fun when other folks join in. I do wish it didn't give rankings at the end after everyone's turned in their word count, because it's not a competition, and some people don't really thrive on that sort of thing. But other than that, it's a useful little bot and I like having it.
