Our first row tickets actually meant we were sitting on the stage! Brilliant play, quite funny at times and very well acted all round. Jemma was so very expressive as Eleanor.
Very lucky I had my child with me as I was too nervous to approach Jemma so my child asked her for a photo 😅 Jemma then very graciously took a pic with us, but my child can’t be on tumblr so I cropped that bit. 🙃

SPRINGWOOD at London’s Hampstead Theatre (2026)

The play, written and directed by Richard Nelson (based on his 2012 film Hyde Park on Hudson), explores the meeting between the King and FDR, together with their wives, at the titular presidential retreat in Hyde Park, N.Y., on the eve of the Second World War.
