he'd be reluctant if you asked. The first time you actually thought he was gonna grab the sharpest thing in the room and stab you- but surprisingly he leaned his head down for you to touch them! He must've been in a good mood, so you took advantage of that and played with them! You both stayed quiet as you ran your fingers over the metal skeleton of his ears, tugging on loose wires and rubbing the old fur.
You thought about teasing him but didn't want to risk stepping out of line and getting suffocated again or something- so you appreciated the moment, basked in it even.
It became an unconscious habit, whenever his ears are close you fiddle with them like a stress toy. If he's in a good mood he might even tease you about it.. if he's not, well, you wouldn't be touching them in the first place.
You commented once on how adorable their movement was when he spoke and his face blanked- more like you think it did since he's not very expressive. He simply grunted about your lack of respect and pinched your face very hard- you took that as a sign not to press further, lest he stop being gentle with you!
Overall, his ears are so fucking cute and I wanna play with them like a little doll
