This link just gives a few definitions of common terms used in the world of filmmaking. Most of these terms I am already very aware of but some are new to me. One definition that stood out to me was the master shot. A master shot is the long take of the entire scene. This is a shot that would be used as a cover shot, or a shot that the editor can cut back to after a detailed close up. Another definition i found to be useful was the bridging shot. A bridging shot would be used to cover a jump in time in the narrative. I feel like a shot like this can get very creative. Whether it is using non diegetic inserts, or creatively shooting a scene to take up time, this bridging shot will help move to story along more smoothly when jumping through time.
